7 AN EVENING TO REMEMBERThe Fifties saw the dawning of rock-n-roll, Marilyn Monroe, McCarthyism, the hula-hoop, the slinky, and... the drive-in theater. Route 66 had its share of the big screen, too. Teenagers flocked to the outdoor movies on the weekends once school was out. Little did some customers know that this particular drive-in night out would be like no other.
