Redemption

Chapter ONE: Forever Lonely

It was just like any other Wednesday. Amethyst alarm went off at exactly 6:30 A.M. she reached her nightstand to turn it off when she saw she had fallen asleep on Axel. As Amethyst unlocked her phone she read the messages out loud.

"You probably fell asleep, oh well. Goodnight Amy. See you tomorrow for our run at 7" -Axel

Amethyst giggled. That was enough motivation to get off the bed. She walked to the dresser and pulled out some black tights and a pink shirt. As she changed she could feel some eyes on her. She laughed. Just like on cue Axel was outside her window, smiling. Amethyst couldn't help but smile too.

She walked over to open the window, and said "You could have texted me you were outside"

"Where is the fun in that?" said Axel with a smirk

Axel held onto Amethyst by the waist. Amethyst wiggle herself from the grip of Axel and bolted to her room door and ran all the way outside of her house leaving her house door open for Axel. Amethyst about to start running again when she felt two arms around her, she smiled.

“I race you. To our normal spot?” said the voice from behind her. “I’ll give you a head start”

“Afraid to lose, Axel?” Amethyst said with a smile as once again she got herself away from Axel and began to run.

Amethyst ran till she couldn’t run anymore. She started to pace herself, she looked back and saw that Axel wasn’t that far behind her. Amethyst stop, she picked that scent. The scent didn’t belong to Axel, it was more relaxed. It was soothing. She could smell strawberries or kiwi but whatever it was it smelled good.

“Everything all right?” said Axel as he reached Amethyst.

“You don’t smell that?” asked Amethyst looking to face Axel

“I could smell you. Even though you are sweating, I could still smell you. You smell of pineapple, with strawberries.”

“Do you think it’s possible to smell yourself?”

Axel looked at Amethyst with a concerned face. “Amy is everything okay? For days, you have been acting weird. I’m getting worried.”

Amethyst walked away from Axel, she didn’t know what to tell him. For the past, few days she picked up a scent, and her wolf seemed to be excited. Out of the corner of her eyes, she caught a figure running. Amethyst tried to look for the figure, but couldn’t.

“AMETHYST! I’m talking to you!!” yelled Axel and Amethyst made eye contact with him

“Huh. Sorry I got distracted.” Amethyst said in a low voice still not making eye contact with Axel.

As Axel was about to get closer to her, they both heard a growl. Axel turned around and saw a wolf standing there. Amethyst meets the wolfs eyes, a nice green color. Before Amethyst could so anything Axel, pushed her to the floor, causing the wolf to attack.

Amethyst land into of rock, hitting her side, causing her to cry out in pain. There was a throbbing sensation on her left side. Amethyst cried. But that didn’t stop Axel to transform into his wolf. Amethyst watched as both wolf’s fight. Amethyst saw that both wolf, walking around in circles. Amethyst found the courage to run between both wolfs.

Amethyst turn to the unknown wolf and said “Leave! This isn’t your territory!” Axel turned back to his human form and picked up his pants before joining Amethyst.

“You heard her. Leave. If you don’t you will start a war” said Axel as he held Amethyst hand.

Amethyst let go of Axel's hand. Both Amethyst and Axel turned their back in on the wolf. The biggest mistake, they had ever done. As they started to walk away, the wolf jumped on Axel back, tackling to the ground. Amethyst saw as Axel was being attacked by the wolf. Amethyst looked around the ground and found a rock. Amethyst went up to the wolf at hit it. The wolf let go Axel, who had his claw in his chest. The wolf turned his attention to Amethyst who was standing there, frozen in fear. The wolf got closer and she still couldn’t move. Her wolf was getting excited that there was an unknown wolf in front of them. As soon as their eyes meet the wolf turned around and left running away. Amethyst stood there trying to figure out what happened. Amethyst went to Axel, took off her shirt and apply pressure on his freshly wound.

“R-r-run” said Axel and he began to cough up blood “I love you”

“No, No. Stay with me! Please Axel! Don’t leave me!’’ cried Amethyst, but there was nothing she could do, he was dead.

Amethyst got up and ran all the way to her house. As she made her way, Amethyst could sell her brothers. The closer she got the stronger their scent was. Amethyst brothers were outside with a group of kids practicing. She stops and began to breathe heavily. She thought she was going to pass out. She walked to her brothers and the class. Amethyst brother, Adam turned around and saw Amethyst covered in blood before she collapses on the floor.

Adam ran to his sister who was laying on the ground. “Amethyst! Wake up! Aiden!”

Adam picked up his sister bridal style and started to walk back inside the house. Adam places Amethyst on the sofa. Aiden following right behind them along with the class of kids.

Amelia came out of the kitchen “Adam why are you yelling like crazy?” said Amelia not realizing Amethyst on the sofa.

Adam looked up at his sister while Aiden went to get some towels.

“What happened?” asked Amelia as she realizes who was on the sofa. “Oh, my god. She is alive, right?’’

Adam just nodded his head. Soon Aiden came back with the first aid kit and gloves on, “Move Adam let me check her”

Adam steps to the side and let Aiden check her out. Finally, Aiden let out a sight, “She passed out due to being exhausted. The blood isn’t hers” Aiden looked up to meet the eyes of his siblings. Everyone stared at each other, but the question was what happened? Everyone in their own thoughts when a voice was heard making everyone to turn around, a little girl stepped forward and looked at Aiden and Adam, “Where is Axel?”

“Axel was with her?” asked Adam looking confuse

“Yeah, every Wednesday they go for a run,” said the little girl

Adam and Aiden looked at each other and left running. Soon they changed to their wolfs and spread out to find Axel. They ran in different directions trying to see from where Amethyst. After running for minutes, they were nowhere close until Aiden saw a body on the ground.

Aiden mind link with Adam I found him. He’s dead Adam.

Adam came running to his brother to find Axel, on the floor. Whoever attacked Axel wanted revenge on him. His body was unrecognized if it wasn’t for the matching tattoo he had with Amethyst. They mind link with other pack members to come to get the body.

Soon enough they went behind a tree and shifted back into their humans. They picked up clothes that were around and got dressed. Once dressed themselves, other members where there already picking up the body.

“What are we going to tell Maggie?” asked Aiden as other members put Axel dead body on the pick-up truck.

Adam turned his head to look at Aiden “I have no idea. But we are going to find who killed our Gamma. And for Maggie, she is to stay in the packed house. We will discuss this more when we get home.” Aiden nodded and they started to walk back to the house.

As they got close to the pack house, everyone was outside, nobody said nothing. Everyone bowed his or her head to the fallen Gamma. Then Maggie came out of the house running.

Maggie stood in front of her Alpha and Beta before she broke down crying and started to talk “No. *sob* Axel *sob*

Aiden kneeled to Maggie, so he was at her level. Maggie had her hands on her face as the tears fall. Aiden placed his hands on hers and moved her long black hair out the way. Maggie picked up her head and moved her hands out the way and saw Aiden and threw her arms around his neck and began to cry again. Aiden picked her up and whispered “Shh. It’s okay Maggie. We are going to find who did this. We aren't leaving you.”
