11. Something is Missing

I am scrolling my mobile screen going through various messages that I received from my friends. I am giving my continuous reply to all the text by sitting at a coffee shop in Mumbai.Yeah ! I am waiting for some one very close to me and that person is taking his own time for arrival.It has been two months since I had seen that video, as my parents wish I am trying a lot to be normal.Gradually I started to spend my time with my aunt and uncle during day time by discussing random stuffs and by evening I would give my full attention to Aahana when she returns from school.She used to peep into my room and attempted many times to gain my attention when I closed myself before, but all in vain, she said that she used to feel sad when I blocked myself from the surrounding. I really feel bad for my behaviour I learnt that how much my family was worried regarding my state. I feel guilty for making them worry for me.

My uncle and aunt were more than happy and relieved to see me normal again.But I am not my old self I don't feel energytic and enthusiastic like before. My heart is not calm and stable of any thoughts.Yeah as I said I am trying to be back but something is always holding me back I can't figure it out. When I called my best friends I got my earful for not responding them for six months that showed me their care and love for me.Later we patched back to our friendship with regular calls,text and sometimes even video calls.

"Aadhi !" I was brought back from my thoughts by a familiar voice.

"Hi Yadav !"I greeted him with a pleasant smile to which he grinned while taking his seat opposite to me.

"Let us order something first I am starving"he told by tapping his fingers on the table.

"You will not get anything for coming late I am going to order only for me" I teased him.Suddenly his expression changed to horrible.

"You got be kidding me right? I am just half an hour late" I raised my eyebrow for his statement.

"Just half an hour! OK! you too can wait for your coffee for just half an hour until that let me enjoy mine" I did my best to hide my smile for his reaction.

"This is not at all fair. This is injustice" he whined like a child. He is always like this.

"Please Aadhi! my stomach is innocent, don't punish it"he pleaded with his puppy eyes. I cannot control my laughter anymore.I burst into laughter.

"OK! I was just teasing you but I am sure these tricks will not work with Pallavi" i told him between my laughter. He can really make me smile and forget my worries just for moments easily.

He grinned widely by showing his white teeth but soon faded by mention of Pallavi. My best friends miss each other very badly I can see that very well.

"Its very nice to see you laugh like this after long time" he told me with a genuine smile.

Yes it is true that it has been long i laughed this carefree.Soon we placed our orders and started our chitchat.

"What is your next plan?" he asked me with a serious face while sipping his coffee.

"Really I don't know now what to do" I told him by stirring my coffee.

"I want some distraction, may be I would find some job to keep me occupied" I said him still stirring my coffee.

He thought for a moment.

"Well ! if you don't mind join in our company,next week there is an interview for new designers for our new project to assist our senior designer.You have a quite good knowledge in designing I hope it will suit you well."he said with seriousness.

I thought for few minutes, it sounds good may be I should make a try for it.

"Ok! let me attend the interview, send me the details of venue, date and time I will be there."I said looking straight.

"sure" he nodded with a smile.After few more discussion we bid our bye. As soon as I reached my home I told about this to my uncle and aunt, they agreed and they said that they will support my decision.

At evening, Aahana shared about her day in her school and we decided to watch a new tamil movie.

Aahana came rushing to my room in her night dress with her teddy to watch the movie and settled comfortably on my bed. I played the movie and rushed towards bathroom to change into my shirt and pajamas before the story starts. I settled beside Aahana in my night dress on my bed.Movie was quite interesting with suspense. After the movie was over I turned towards Aahana who was still looking at the screen with drowsy eyes. I tucked her into the bed and switched off the TV. When I was about to lay beside Aahana my phone pinged with a message of Yadav with the details regarding the interview. I made a mental note to prepare myself for the interview before sleep invaded me.
