I knew I was running late, but it would only take a second to check the text that had just popped in my phone. I paused and glanced at the lit up screen and then swiped my phone open. I tapped on the text, feeling the familiar buzz of anxiety in my chest as I scrolled through the message. It was from Richard, informing me that one of the clients had already arrived at the firm. He had mentioned the client's name in the text, a detail that slipped my mind as my focus shifted to the urgency of the situation.
