The morning sun shone brightly, piercing through the windows and casting a warm, golden glow on my white-painted room. I sat upright, stretching my arms wide and yawning deeply. Rubbing my eyes with my folded palms, I swung my legs off the bed and stretched again, this time arching my back as I extended my entire body. A wave of laziness had washed over me, and I felt utterly exhausted for no reason I could think of. Dragging my feet toward the bathroom, I hoped that washing my face would rinse away the exhaustion along with the water. But even after splashing the cold water on my face, the weariness clung to me.
