Chapter One: The Rejection

Tiana's POV

The full moon hung in it's usual position unearthing it's bright radiance. The air was thick with tension, the breeze waved, the tree leaves danced. Torches flashed at the arena revealing each wolf pack. Beats of drum were heard followed by whistles. It was the moon celebration ceremony- a night when the moon goddess chooses fated and destined mates.

"I think we'll find him tonight"

Shira, my wolf whispered.

I kept silent, my eyes searching for the unknown mate. Although, I was an omega, quiet, loyal but I was among the weakest rank of wolves in order of hierarchy. The omega was marked the lowest before the gamma, beta and then the ALPHA

"I think he's going to reject you"

Shira whispered.

"Who?"

I questioned pretending not to know who my wolf was referring to- I knew it was my mate.

"Your destined mate, he is an alpha, I can feel his presence, he is close"

I let out a heavy breath, I knew I would be rejected. No Alpha would want an omega- especially to be their mate.

"There he is> Shira almost howled.

My eyes instantly met his, it was Alphaeous, leader of the Kario Lang Pack. He gazed at me in Rejection. I could sense the feeling of rejection inside. He walked up to me, confidently and proudly.

"I Levi Alphaeous, reject you, Tiana Mulan as my mate"

His deep voice pronounced.

His words hit me like a tidal wave. Shira was right, he had rejected me, he wouldn't want me to be his mate. He was a powerful alpha with rare supernatural powers. I hadn't even wait for him to conclude his statement when stream of tears swam across my cheeks- tears blurring my vision. The whole pack gasped at his rejection, he had found me unworthy to become his mate. I sadly deserted the pack for the forest where I sat alone thinking of the words he stated, his rejection, the emotional wound. He never understood how it hurts.

Alphaeous stood at his territory, critically thinking the reason he had rejected his fated and destined mate. She was an omega- a weak one. He knew he rejected her because she was of low rank- but it seemed like he made a mistake by rejecting her. He was an Alpha- a great one and a she- wolf huntress or powerful warrior would be the perfect fit to be his mate.

His wolf, Kelian was silent. It was unusual, he could definitely tell that Kelian was angry and not in support of his rejection.

"You were rude and proud, rejecting your fated mate because she was weak"

Kelian broke the silence.

"You were too hard"

Alphaeous paced to and fro in worry. He was really too hard on her. He angrily punched the trees in rage. He halted for a moment talking a close observance at the bushes- they seemed blurry. He could feel Tiana's presence but she wasn't there. He needed to pay a visit to their territory, they had to talk.

Alphaeous at Omega-Kin Territory

Alphaeous stood at the gateway of the Omega-Kin territory. The air was tense, and the atmosphere was thick. The breeze swept across the soil as if it was a desert. The huge tall trees stood like they were all staring at him. He stood still at the territory gate. He was sure Tiana wouldn't want to see him, he had rejected her already. He carefully held on to a tree swinging from one tree to another.

"She is down here"

Kelian, his wolf whispered.

"Noted"

Alphaeous jumped down, his eyes searching for Tiana. He tiptoed the arena ready for anything that came his way. Instantly, his eyes caught a glimpse of her. Her back facing him, the wind brushed her hair backwards. She was blood stained, her feet was clay soil coloured.

"Tiana" he called.

She stiffened. Turned. Her eyes were blood shot, her eyeballs coloured in it's usual silver pigment.

Their eyes interlocked and for a long moment, no one uttered any statement.

"Why are you here" I asked, my voice breaking.

"My apology"

"It's never accepted, you rejected me in front of the whole pack"

"You are surely going to pay for that"

"I am sorry" he pleaded, his voice unclear.

For once, he was speaking in a humble and cold tone.

"You rejected me because I was an Omega" she blurted inching closer.

"No, i think I made a mistake rejecting you" he retorted.

| I wasn't expecting you as a mate"

"You rejected me because I was weak" Tiana blurted.

"I know but.......

"But what"? she inquired as tears gathered her eyes.

"Please just leave" Tiana said calmly.

Alphaeous turned away not because he wanted to leave willingly but his presence was hurting her. He knew that rejecting her would make her sad. Besides, he could feel the bond- he could feel it that they were really fated mates. Still, he foolishly rejected her because she was a weak omega. He thought she wasn't enough but now, the bond was tearing him apart. He now wanted her so bad, so bad that he could feel her feel her presence all the time. He turned again and gazed at Tiana.

"But you can feel the bond" he aired in a cold tone.

"We are fated, I feel your presence since the night I rejected you"

Tiana buried her face downwards. He was right, she could feel it too. Why was his rejection so painful if they weren't fated mates. She turned at him.

"You knew we were fated mates then you rejected me because I was of low rank-"

"Just leave" Tiana sniffed.

Alphaeous turned and walked away slowly. He wasn't expecting the goddess to give him an Omega. It shocked his pride and his ego that his destined mate was of low rank so he rejected her. Now, their bond is strong. He wants her badly as his mate and Luna.
