Ep3:Can We Be friends

753 Words
As I followed Vicente to the drama class, the sound of chatter and footsteps filled the hallway. I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that lingered from the previous incident. Vicente's persistence had won me over, and I decided to support her, even if it meant facing my fears. When we arrived at the classroom, the students were busy trying to get into their positions. They were all chatting and laughing, but their eyes kept drifting towards us. One of them commented, "Wow, you two can cause distractions everywhere you go without even trying." I smiled playfully and replied, "Well, I hope you also don't look at me too much, or you might get distracted like them." Vicente giggled, and I winked at her. I stood at the back of the classroom, arms and legs crossed, trying to blend into the background. But I couldn't help but notice the occasional glance in my direction. That's when I felt a hand wrap around my neck, and I looked up to see a handsome guy with piercing eyes. He had a charming smile, and his eyes sparkled with amusement. Boys were not part of my plans so even though he was good looking I didn't say anything and just looked away from him.. "Wow, you're really rude, beauty," he said, his voice low and smooth. "How can you look at me for so long and not even give me a compliment?" I raised an eyebrow, taken aback by his forwardness. "I didn't say you weren't good-looking," I replied coolly. "But if that's what you think, then I'm happy to oblige. Excuse me." The guy, who introduced himself as James, seemed taken aback by my response. He asked me what I meant, but I tried to walk away. He blocked my path, his hands on either side of me, and asked, "Can we be friends?" He smiled charmingly, but I wasn't impressed. "No, thank you," I said firmly. James looked surprised, but before he could respond, an angry voice intervened. "James, what are you doing? We're in class." The voice was deep and authoritative, and it sent a shiver down my spine. James rolled his eyes and turned around, revealing a charcoal-smeared face. The owner of the voice was none other than "Lover Boy," who looked even more handsome than before. His angry eyes sparkled like stars, and our gazes met before I looked away. "You're a senior, and you shouldn't be bothering freshmen," he said sternly. James protested, but Lover Boy pulled him away, their conversation fading into the background. I felt Lover Boy's eyes on me from time to time, and I couldn't understand why he was looking at me like that. As the class continued, I found myself getting more and more distracted. I couldn't focus on the lesson, and my mind kept wandering back to the encounter with James and Lover Boy. I felt a sense of unease, unsure of what to make of their behavior. When the class finally ended, I breathed a sigh of relief. I gathered my things and made a hasty exit, eager to escape the tension that had built up in the classroom. As I walked out, I felt a sense of freedom, like I was leaving all my worries behind. But as I turned the corner, I caught a glimpse of Lover Boy watching me from afar. Our eyes met, and I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body. I quickly looked away, my heart racing with anticipation. What did he want from me? And why did I feel like I was drawn to him, despite his cold demeanor? I pushed the thoughts aside and quickened my pace, eager to get away from the drama class and its intriguing cast of characters. But I couldn't shake off the feeling that my life was about to change in ways I couldn't even imagine. As I walked away, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for me. Would I be able to navigate the complex web of relationships and drama that seemed to be unfolding around me? Or would I get caught up in the chaos and lose myself in the process? Only time would tell. The hallway was empty now, except for a few stragglers who were lingering by their lockers. I walked past them, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I was glad to be out of the classroom, but I knew that the drama was far from over.
