When he arrived at the restaurant, he was still deep in his thoughts. He kept asking himself why Emily did that to him. He thought that he had left his problems behind only to find another one. As he opened the door he saw a lady cleaning the tables. She was pretty, a bit light in complexion. She had made a pony tail with her hair. She had boots all the way to knees. She wore a nice blue shirt and a jean skirt. He walked up to her as if he wanted to stop a thief.
"Who are you?" He asked the lady.
"You are late, Evans," she replied.
"How do you know my name? And why are you doing my work?" he asked as he walked closer to her.
She turned smoothly and put down the cleaning utensils and started talking to him.
"I'm Kimberly, the supervisor. I was on break for a week, now I'm back. I'm cleaning because soon the owner will be here. He likes to find this place nice and tidy. But when he finds that this place is not clean, he will fire you on the spot. That I assure you," she looked him in the eyes and continued, "So I'm just helping you."
He quickly apologized for his behavior and his late coming. He took few steps backwards to show respect. He then reached into his pocket to pull out his time card when the necklace that he bought for Emily fell. He was about to pick it up when Kimberly saw it and said.
"Wow! What a beautiful necklace you have."
"You actually think it's beautiful, Miss Supervisor?" he asked her politely.
She giggled and said, "Please don't call me that. Call me Kimberly or Kim or you can me Miss on formal situations," she continued and said, "Yes, it is very beautiful," she praised.
Kimberly then curiously asked Evans, "Who is it for?"
"Nothing," he replied. "Please excuse me. I have to clean the Kitchen," He went to the kitchen, got his cleaning utensils and started cleaning.
Meanwhile Kimberly was confused with Evan's reply because he did not answer the question appropriately.
Few hours later Mr. Andrew the owner of the "Food Restaurants" came and he inspected the place. He was impressed that the restaurant was clean and tidy. And mostly that his customers did not complain about the stuff.
