4 How Often

1022 Words
A harsh ringing sound woke her up. She searched her leather jacket for the ringing device. Upon seeing the caller ID, she immediately answered it. "What?" "Maze is fighting tonight. Won't you watch?" She could hear cheering and clapping in Lili's background. She must be in the octagon already. "Of course, I'll watch. I spent thousands of dollars on her. When is it happening?" she said with a yawn. "Now, S! Where are you?"Lili's voice was laced with annoyance. Saint should be in the octagon an hour ago. She looked at her phone and saw the time. It was nine in the evening! "f**k," she muttered under her breath and stood up. Her body felt exhausted after sleeping on the floor for hours, but she couldn't miss Maze's fight. She wore her leather jacket and rode her car fast. Saint dropped by an alleyway, which is situated in one of the most dangerous outskirts of the city. Her face flashed on the screen, and the metal door opened automatically. A pungent stench of sweat, alcohol, and cigarettes filled her nostrils—the type of smell she got used to after years of visiting the place. She walked straight through the crowd, and like Moses, she managed to part the sea of people. "Saint Sola!" She looked at the person who dared call her full name and found Lilith grinning from ear to ear. Lili is on one of the VIP balconies, smoking some tobacco. She stood five foot six, with long, blonde, straight hair, which made Saint look like a dwarf in her five foot one stature. "Where's Maze?" she asked once she reached the balcony. The view from up there is one of the best. They could watch the fight from all angles. "Getting ready." Lili then pointed her lips to her twin who was making out with some random guy. Saint scoffed at the sight. "Where were you? You were gone for a week." She puffed another smoke. "I got married," she answered after diverting her gaze from the two grown people swallowing each other's faces. Lili's face contorted in confusion. "You're f*****g 20! Are you kidding me?" She's turning 21 this year, but still, legally, she's just 20. "I have reasons, Lil," she solemnly said and took the lit cigarette from her friend. She got her reasons, and they need to have faith in her. "So, you finally had s*x with someone?" Lili caught her blushing under the dim light. "Oh no, our Miss Saint is now tainted," she teased, somewhat proud that her little sister finally lost her v-card. Saint was never fond of boys, even for her s****l pleasure only. "It's not a big deal. I have to fulfil my 'wifely' duties. Don't boys only want s*x from us?" Saint scoffed and downed a piss-coloured drink, which she assumed was Lili's. That night wasn't a mistake. She did aim to lose her innocence to Sandro. They got married, and it was inevitable. She has to do everything—at least until she has finally finished her mission. "Good point, but how was it? Did he ravish you every night, as you deserve?" Saint has the face of an angel with the body of a vixen. She deserves to be worshipped! "Does it matter?" She was starting to get annoyed with Lili's questioning. She was like a mother prying into her child's s*x life. And that was disturbingly annoying. Lili's face fell flat and stopped for a second. "How many times have you done it?" This time, she asked with a serious tone. "For goodness' sake, Lili. We've done it once! You happy now?" she burst. Her cheeks were crimson red whilst her emerald eyes lit up with anger. "You were gone for a week, and you've done it once. Were you married yesterday?" Lili's pitch got higher, showing that she was starting to get annoyed as well—not with Saint, but with whoever the poncho she married. Did Saint have the worst first experience? Or is he gay? "I got married four days ago. What's all this questioning? How often should we do it?" Saint said, indifferent this time. Has she done something wrong? Why is Lili questioning her now? "I do it five to seven times a week. And it varies with how many rounds we go for." Saint is not innocent. She understood every single word that came out of Lili's mouth. "Are you an animal? How come you're not pregnant?" She was disturbed. "If you're accusing me of not being normal, then you should accuse yourself. That's the average!" Saint shut her mouth and motioned for a round of scotch. She would never let Lili's words get into her. It was clear as day that Lili was just messing with her. "Cat got your tongue, eh? Be a good wife, and perform well tonight." Lili's remark was followed by a witchy laugh that was soon drowned by the announcement coming from the speakers. Maze was up for the next round. Saint watched her friend enter the octagon. She resembles most of Lili's features, with a stark difference in hair colour. Lili sported blonde hair, while Maze was a natural redhead. Everyone shouted and whistled as Maze stepped foot in the ring. People chanted her name. Maze had better win this. Saint put a lot of money under her head. Saint watched her friend fight while continually sipping her rounds of scotch. She didn't bother counting, but she asked for the bottle instead. She drowned her unwelcome thoughts and pushed herself to focus on the fight. Maze wavered as she tried to attack her opponent. Her arms and stomach were covered with cuts. Her face was bleeding from the punches it endured. Still, Saint didn't lose hope. "Stand the f**k up, Maze!" Lili shouted. Concern was visible in her eyes as she looked in her sister's direction. The opponent was a bigshot, a high-ranking assassin to be exact. "I used your credit card to place my bet!" Maze heard her and her eyes darted arrows towards her twin sister. You better f*****g win this.
