I WOKE up wet and wanting.
I thought the pull of the mating moon was bad yesterday, but today it’s almost unbearable. As soon as my eyes fluttered open this morning, I knew Stryker was next to me. I felt his eyes on me, even though my back was facing him. I shudder as I remember the way he stroked one finger up and down my spine until I rolled over and surrendered to his kiss.
Unfortunately, Stryker told me he had to go into the office. I could tell it was painful for him to leave, just like it was for me. But he reminded me he had to find out more about my dad, so he knew how to protect me better. I couldn’t argue with that. I love that he’s so protective.
Dominic, Lyra, and Everly are here now, babysitting me even though they claim it’s not babysitting. Stryker practically
