Stryker POV I’M AN i***t. My wolf snorts, continuing his pacing inside me. He’s been pissed with me for days, alternating between snarling at me and howling in pain at missing our mate. The grumpy bastard snarls, reminding me he’s been pissed off with me since we first scented Elowen, but my rejection of her has brought his anger to a whole new level. And, if I’m honest, there’s a fair share of self-loathing mixed in with my wolf’s brooding. “Goddammit,” I grunt, setting my mug of coffee down more forcefully than I meant to.
