Eva stared blankly at the wall in front of her, lost in thought. She had just called Madison, and just like countless times before, her call went unanswered. The silence was getting to her; she wondered what had transpired in those few minutes she had been in the bathroom that made Madison literally run out the door of her house. They hadn’t talked since then, with Madison seemingly avoiding any chance of bumping into her by scheduling her meetings at times that Eva was always busy.
