CHAPTER FOUR

Some minutes passed since and Miss June handed me a paper,"This is your slip and school handbook; you can leave now," I was told. As I exited the building, Jeremy said, "We have a class now; we'll see you later," and they quickly left. I wondered how I would see them again, but I stopped speaking as they had already walked too far away. "Don't worry, you'll see them; there's a party in the woods today," Anna reassured me. We walked together, and Anna explained that there are dorms labeled ABCD, and we would be staying in D. "You're lucky because we get to see all the dorms before reaching ours," she added.

As we passed the dorms, each one had a large gate, but you could see inside. When we arrived at dorm D, the big letter D was visible on the gate. Upon entering, we found a spacious grassy area with a statue of a beautiful woman in the center. "Anna," I called softly. "Why is there a statue in the middle of the field in every dorm?" She paused and turned to me. "You're very observant. Each statue represents the greatest constellation, but ours doesn't represent any constellation. She is the origin of all constellations. Her name is Queen Selene Hydra. But that's a story for another time."

Anna and I stood in front of a U-shaped dining hall, and I was in awe of its beauty. "There's going to be a house party tomorrow because we have a new member. All the houses can stay open until midnight instead of 10 PM, and since today is Friday, it will last until dawn. Aren't you lucky?" Anna giggled. We stopped in front of a large door, and I exclaimed, "Wow!"

"Don't freak out; this is Consellation D. Each dorm has four consellations, and this is where you'll be staying," she said as she opened the door. I was amazed to see a sitting room with a big plasma TV, a dining area, and a kitchen. "What you should know is that only wealthy students get to stay here, and fortunately for me, I'm here too. Your room is the last one on the left with a white door." I was thrilled that we were in the same dorm.

As we walked down the hallway, Anna pointed out Adam's room. "Wait, did you just mention Adam?" I asked before she could respond. "No wonder he said we would see each other later." She smiled and continued, pointing to Jeremy's room next to Adam's. To the left was the game room or cinema room, then her room, followed by a storage room. Finally, we reached the end of the hall. "This is your room," she said, facing a white door."Wait, who has the room with the black door?" I asked. "Oh, that's Darren's," she replied, unlocking my door so we could enter. She didn't look back. My room was spacious, complete with its own bathroom and closets, and the bed had drapes, which I loved, but there was no bed yet. Ana mentioned, "The party starts at 9." I told her I didn't have anything party-appropriate to wear, so I wasn't going. "Young lady, you can't be serious; I have a gown that will fit you," she said, glancing at my figure before looking away. "Ana," I called out tiredly, and she turned to face me. "I really want to sleep; I'm exhausted." "Don't worry, let's talk to the house mistress," she replied.

We walked for about three minutes and passed a gate with a warning sign. I looked ahead; it was just a forest, but I noticed something move, which made me gulp and rush to catch up with Ana. "Wait up, slowpoke," she teased. We arrived at the mistress's office, and she greeted us warmly. "Oh dear, I forgot to arrange a bed for you, Star. I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed. She sat down to make a call, and once she finished, she instructed us, "Head to the kitchen; there's food prepared to welcome our newest member. While you enjoy your meal, your bed and belongings will be brought up, along with your dog and the lech."

We made our way to the kitchen, where a variety of dishes awaited us, and we savored everything together. After we finished eating, we headed back to our house. When we reached the front door, Ana said, "Finally, we're home," and opened the door. My books were neatly arranged on the shelves, and my clothes were still in order. Everything was so tidy; I was starting to like it here. I was too tired to explore, so I dropped my box on the floor and fell asleep, with Ana doing the same.

I woke up at exactly 7 PM to loud music. I checked my table and saw my phone along with a note that read, "Call me when you wake up. #Ana." I called the number, but she didn't answer. Looking around the room, I noticed how spacious it was. I spotted three doors; I opened the first one, which turned out to be Ana's closet since the clothes were unfamiliar. The second door led to a large, comfortable bathroom. I quickly undressed and stepped in for a long shower, washing the dye out of my hair. When I emerged and looked in the vanity mirror, I realized I looked quite plain.My skin radiated like never before, and my hair had a silver hue, something I had concealed for many years. After applying black dye to my hair and washing it, I noticed a remarkable change in my appearance. On the table, I spotted a pink gown accompanied by a note that read, "This dress will look great on you. P.S. Anna." I tried on the gown, which was just above the knee and flared at the bottom. I styled my hair in braids and pinned it up. Then, I checked my phone and found a description and directions to Anna's location; she had even drawn a map for me.
