CHAPTER ONE

“Uhmmmmmm… would you mind turning that off”. I said . ***ringing continued. *** Bell “Oh come on good puppy! Oh turn the alarm please”. I said. I tried again but still no results I woke grudgely and looked at the tiny 🐩 poodle looking at me wagging her tail and barking. ‘oh bell when will u learn’ I switched off the alarm and bell jumped on my bed and cuddled and dozed close to me then she whined. Well yeah this the life, saying to bell. Within the next few minutes I was up. I signed. Well, now there is college to face. i never really knew my father ,But i was so sure sure he became out of control after the death of my mother, I was only ten years old at that time. He was the duke at that time but he didn't fight for the title, just renounced it and just strayed. I wanted to comfort him as little as I was ,even till now, but still, I missed mum though, but I think it hit him more than It did to me. Then I pulled off my clothes and walked barefoot to the bathroom. He was always coming home late at night, with different women in a state of drunkenness.years passed and came home one day married to one of the women that warms his bed,every night.

My new stepmum was so evil and wicked,she made me feel like hell as much as I was small, she fired the cleaners then asked me to clean the house. . At some point I was just like snow-white. The only difference was my dad wasn’t dead, he was just stupid. He did not really pay much attention to what happened in the house.He just leaves in the morning and come back drunk dead at night.

But I was saved.

i was kidn*pped by my next of kin My aunty Maggie, my mother’s sister. Even though I was happy with with the kidnap. My dads junior brother,which was now the Duke. uncle Dave was in support.he was at the same time the most influential powerful man of the society so he had a say. My dads brother and my mom sister both cared for me so much that they did not wish me to have pain. A few years later, my dad murdered the woman he married.I still believe that is a lie and the court only restrained him from seeing me. i still didn’t believe all this happened.Then Auntie Maggie Got this new job in another country. That is why we had to move for the tenth time. But in this instance, am happy, this time am going to the University in that town . She assured me that we will be living in this place Just for one year so I could complete my Course in the University . this time it was a private and popular University Deep within a forest that almost 10000 students attends. I was told that my dad and mum used to visit that place when they were still single individuals. It was a great school, I could have been a part of it if only the students were snubs. That did not even bother me, I just wanted to be as far as possible from my dads drama. As a matter of fact, that was part of my family drama. I was dressed in my school uniform and I proceeded to the kitchen so that I could prepare my breakfast only to find my auntie had done so earlier. ”You are up early sugar,are you okay “Maggie asked. ‘I wanted to make Breakfast for myself ’ I said with a careless air. ’’Come on Lene, I know you angry at me but I’m going to make it up to you and my office called they want me to go for a field work outside town for 3months’’ Maggie said ’WhATTT auntie we just got here and we are leaving again, what about school, this house my life, your life, I cant keep doing this I’m tired of moving mom’’ this was the first time "Oh sweetie, I know we haven't talked much lately, but I've missed you and us, which is why I've decided to make a home here," she said. "But what about school?" I asked. "Let me finish, young lady. You haven't made any friends since 10th grade," she replied. "But Bell is my friend," I said dismissively. "No, no, no! Excluding the dog, you need to make human friends—not birds, snakes, or even the fish in the aquarium. That's why I applied for a hostel pass this morning, and Bell can come with you." My face lit up, and I hugged my aunt tightly. "Star, I can't breathe," she wheezed, so I let go immediately. She cleared her throat and said, "I know this isn't much, but I want you to be safe. Just pick out a few things you'll need. Here's your school brochure. Please don't get into trouble and follow the school rules," Maggie advised. Everything happened so quickly, and what I said next surprised me: "I love you, I love you. You won't regret this." Maggie looked at me with so much affection and replied, "I know I won't. As I always say, you are special; you're not like others. By the way, your school called yesterday to say your things have arrived safely." "I told you my important stuff was missing. Did you pack everything I need?" I asked. "Yes," Auntie said, scratching the back of her head. "Except your books, your backpack, and Bell." I sighed. "I know, I'll take care of that before we leave." I hurried upstairs, turned on my radio, and started singing "Power" by Little Mix. I gathered everything I needed, and when I looked around, I realized my room was empty. My aunt had really gone all out this time.I came down the stairs to find my food already prepared. I dropped my cartoon, backpack, and Bell, who was sitting on the ground waiting for treats. I secretly gave her some while I ate, without my aunt knowing. I wished for fun roommates.

We began the long,uncomfortable drive, all of a sudden I became very tired and blacked out at the back seat,then when I opened my eyes I saw four familiar faces and an middle aged woman that I know I had seen once,but I didn't know how I knew where I knew them from.then the Woman said “look drogo is no longer here,its his mate giving him energy,look at his eyes” I heard a loud horning then I found myself right at the back of my aunt's car seat.I looked very perplexed at the truck overtaking our car and my aunt screaming at the driver and she looked at the mirror and saw how pale I was looking and she asked “Oh my God are you okay you look so Pale” I was still in shock then I told her “Its fine ,I just need rest and I am really tired” my aunt didn't really think much of it and she said “if you say so go back to sleep”
