Reve kept thinking about Soomin a lot. In his entire lifespan of career, which was still not long at all, he had never met anyone who was so out of life and demotivated and has negative in all the other medical tests.
It was new for him. And his all perfect score from when he started practicing his field made him a little competitive.
None of his patients have been disappointed with his service and he was quiet egoistic about it, like anyone would be.
The doctor of unique approach, is what he was called by the staffs around him who had witnessed his wits first hand.
His mind worked opposite to that of Soomin, always forming images of his plans and executing them to perfection.
But so far his patients has been really cooperative unlike Soomin who looked like was forced to be there like a kid forced to go to school.
He opened the door to his apartment and the first thing he did, was loosen his necktie that was starting to bother him.
A smell of familiar instant noodles hit him again, knowing well enough that he is going to have to cook for just himself as his brother had already fed his stomach.
He walked to the living room and his lips curved up seeing his brother there.
"Aah Jacob. It's getting impossible." Reve plopped in the big couch while his younger brother was in one corner of that couch.
"What is it now?" The younger asked his brother.
"My new patient. She is nowhere and I feel somewhat guilty towards her." Jacob nodded and went back to his phone.
"It's like her mind is set up in a way that she doesn't even believe in herself." The older sighed out.
"Well what is with her?" The younger asked the question that the older was dying to answer.
"She has Aphantasia. She cannot imagine."
"Ah. Poor you." Jacob said while playing on his phone ignoring his brother stare. But he couldn't hold it in him.
"What is it?"
"Did you find your acting project?"
"No. Not yet."
"Then I think I have the perfect role for you." He smiled evily which made Jacob uneasy.
"Why do I have a feeling that you are going to get me in trouble again?"
"What do you mean by again?" Reve asked in defense.
"You very well know brother. The most recent one being when you had pick pocket a random person."
"That person was a pickpocketer himself and you were pickpocketing an old lady's bag. Which we had returned!" Reve exclaimed.
"None the less, it was troublesome." Jacob said making the older man sigh.
"Well this time I promise you, no illegal business."
"I'll have to hear it first before I agree to anything." Jacob said with his arms folded.
"Well I was thinking of something dramatical cinematical and blockbuster sort of thing. That will help you too you know."
"Oh god this is scaring me." Jacob said and shifted in his place.
"Do you trust me?"
"I don't." Jacob said.
"This is what I need you to do." Reve said as he made a camera with his hand and moved it in front of his brother.
"What do you mean?"
"The thing I want you to do will require a lot lies but you're already so good at it so I don't think there will be any problem regarding that." Jacob scoffed and looked away, not liking how easily he was being labeled as a liar there.
"You're making me lose interest more and more. Will you tell me already what I have to do?"
"I want you to act like her imaginary boyfriend."
"You want me to do what?"
"Be her imaginary boyfriend." Reve repeated.
"Bro. No." Jacob said making Reve sigh.
"Look. You said you need a good acting project and this is a great one. Not to forget about the experience." Reve reasoned.
"No." Jacob said again.
"Why? It’s not that she is ugly. She is okay." Reve said and before Jacob could say no again, he spoke,
"When is the deadline Jacob? You have to take your studies seriously."
"I do take them seriously. I know how important this project is for me but I cannot just pretend to be someone's imaginary boyfriend. Have you thought about the risks?" Jacob said raising his voice a bit, only a bit.
"Let’s give it a try. Please just this time. At least give me a chance." Jacob's heart softened when his brother said that.
Reve has always supported Jacob after their parent's death. Reve practically raised Jacob since he was very small.
This was the first time he had ever asked something from Jacob. And he was also thinking the best for his patient too.
"Ok I guess." Jacob said as he fiddled with his fingers, not sure if it was a good idea to agree to this craziness that his brother has going.
"That's great! I'll tell her mother and then we can meet and plan it all out."
"Her mother?"
"Yes."
"Has she agreed?"
"No I literally just came up with the idea."
"How?"
"I just thought it would be nice to have you just as an imagination because God is the witness of the hell in my home here." He said as he pointed at the stock of junk food wrappers all around him.
Jacob smacked the corner of Reve's neck making him hiss from the sudden attack.
"Deserved." Reve commented while rubbing the place where he got hit.
"You should eat something. Want me to make you noodles?" Jacob asked.
"No please. I don't understand how you live with just noodles."
"Atleast I don't die if hunger when you're taking forever to come back home."
"It takes a brain to understand you." Reve said.
"I'm sorry that you don't have one." Jacob said showing fake sympathy that would fool anyone into thinking he's been real.
"All those acting classes are paying off"
