Imaginary Boyfriend

19 year old Jacob was free on a Thursday evening and thus forced by his brother to go and start the act as soon as possible.

Sighing, Jacob looked outside from the window of the bus that he was sitting on, his house being about ten minutes away from his destination for today.

He felt uneasiness in his stomach, he wasn't ready to meet the girl whom he was supposed to lie from that breath onwards.

For him, relationship meant a lot. Him being someone's son, someone's brother, someone's friend was already too much for him. 

To prove to them that he was someone they would never feel disappointed with was a burden enough. 

But now he had to act like someone's boyfriend. It was not something he had imagined in his wildest dreams. But it is something that is going to happen.

Somehow in these 10 minutes, he also remembered his past love. The girl who made him crazy, the girl who broke all the promises.

He never thought he'd let anyone else call him their boyfriend, but a part of him wanted to move on. Not with Soomin, but eventually, slowly.

He saw his stop approaching and stood up from his seat, slowly walking towards the gate of the bus and then walking out when his stop came.

He thanked the bus driver and started walking to the address her mother had send him earlier, when they exchanged numbers in the hospital.

He was walking towards her home when he felt the sudden urge to pee, and that urge increasing with every step he took.

He looked around to find any public bathroom but unfortunately for him, there were only houses around him.

In no time, he was already in front of the house of the girl. With slightly trembling legs he knocked on the door.

He was soon greeted by Soomin's mother who was more than happy to see him.

"Hello! She is upstairs." Her mother whispered while pointing at the stairs.

Peeing was at the back of his head now, he was having second thoughts about meeting Soomin.

He looked at her mother who seemed to know what he was thinking.

"I'll be forever grateful of you and your brother. You're doing this for us, for our little girl and even if it doesn't go well, we will still be thankful." Her mother whispered again while Jacob just gave her a little nod.

"Is there anything you want me to know about her?" He asked while eyeing the stairs.

"Just that she can be a little stubborn."

"I already know that." Jacob said and her mother returned a thin smile.

"I think you're ok then. Just go meet her, first door on the right." Jacob nodded and went up slowly.

He was now standing in front of the door that the lady mentioned, faint voices coming from inside already made his nervous state more nervous.

The urge to pee was back and now at it's maximum level. He thought about going back to her mother and ask her to show her the bathroom but he knew that would be too late.

"Life is so boring~

Boring. Boring. Boring." Soomin sang while laying on her bed doing nothing.

Normally, Soomin had doctor appointments on Thursday but today her doctor had to cancel the meeting for private issues.

It didn't bother Soomin a lot though, just left her without anything to do.

Suddenly the door opened and she got startled.

"Hey babe. Can I use your bathroom real quick?" Jacob came in awkwardly. He really had to use the bathroom now.

"Who are you? Why the hell are you in my room?" Soomin asked and got of the bed and grabbed her night lamp. The plug got stretched in the process.

"Get out of here or I will hit you with this." She said holding the lamp up high but not high enough because of the plug.

"Don't hit me please. Let me use the bathroom." Jacob said and trying to stay still. He cursed at his brother who kicked him out of the house without letting him freshen up.

"Why would I do that?" Soomin, as asked getting closer to him after pulling off the plug.

"Because I am your boyfriend." He said taking her off guard. She looked at him from his hair to his shoes, his shaky legs not going unnoticed by her.

"You're kidding." She said glaring at him.

"Do I look like I am? Now please just let me use the bathroom." Jacob's voice came like a whine. He closed his eyes for two seconds but could swear that he saw a numerous colours in those two seconds.

"No. You're creepy. I don't even know you." Soomin said, still in the position that would help her attack him with the lamp that she was holding.

"I'm Jacob, the person who needs to use the bathroom real quick." He said and started shivering.

"What if you place cameras in there?" Soomin asked raising her brows. The tale was on the news for the longest time now, how camera detectors found cameras in public bathrooms, trial rooms and somehow even in the houses of people, mainly girls.

"What the hell?" He said and sniffed. 

"Yo-"

"ITS COMING!" He cried and her eyes widened.

"Right there. Go fast. Don't pee on the floor."

 Jacob glared at her and rushed inside the bathroom.

Soomin saw the boy run to her bathroom and a click noise was heard indicating that he had closed the door already.

She looked around to find something to replace her favourite lamp with but there was nothing that could cause harm to the boy like the lamp would so she gave up.

Jacob closed the door to he bathroom and felt relieved once he was alone. 

'f**k. I wasn't supposed to tell her my name. This was really awkward. She is weirder than I thought. I can just go home after peeing.' Jacob nodded to himself.
