He has changed! He wasn’t the same Arthur that I knew from before. He had scared me. I wiped my tears quickly with the back of my hand, feeling disgusted that he nearly raped me earlier. Where is the man that always spoiled and cared about me? I took a mental note to get out of his house as soon as we both went back to New York.
I can’t live with him for another minute! Screw all that inheritance. I’d rather live in the street than being forced to do that with him. I was so deep in my own thought I didn’t realize that someone came over me.
“Sophia, What are you doing here?” I turned around, and I saw Diandra. I cursed myself inside. This isn’t the right time to meet her. Apparently, she was at the garden watering the plants. Why didn’t I notice she was here earlier?
