Frank stepped out of Dr. Sam's office after having him check if he had any broken bones. His body ached from the unexpected fall. But lucky for him, he was okay, just bruised by the waist. When he stepped out, Ian relayed the latest news. "Mr. CEO, the paparazzi, and reporters are outside." Frank's eyebrow knitted. Couldn't he just escape the paparazzi for once in his life? "How did my location get to them?" He asked seriously. "A patient saw you walk in and posted it on her status. Before we could handle it, the reporters caught the word." Ian reported. "Handle whatever they post." Frank ordered in a stern voice. Ian nodded. "Yes, Mr. CEO." The elevator opened, and they stepped in. Frank brought out his phone from his pocket and scrolled on it. He saw the commotion his presence in the hospital was causing outside. After a while, he said. "Inform John to drive down to the hospital's entrance." Ian nodded and put a call across to John to relay the CEO's orders. When the elevator doors slid open, the guards expertly cleared a path through the sea of people gathered in the hospital, all clamoring to catch a glimpse of him, get an autograph, or snap a photo. Frank walked majestically with Ian beside him to the exit of the hospital, maintaining a straight face. Anna watched him exit the hospital with the crowd screaming his name and giggling. They pushed each other while trying to take a photo with Frank, whose guards surrounded him. She walked out of the hospital with her eyes locked on Frank as he slid into the sleek black car. Fleets of sleek vehicles surround his car like a protective entourage. As the cars roared to life, the convoy zoomed off, leaving the crowd in excitement and curiosity. In the car, Ian passed the ringing phone from his pocket to Frank. Frank had ordered him not to take his mother's calls again. He didn't want to take chances because he couldn't predict her discussions anymore. "Madame Williams." Ian told him as the car gained momentum. Frank rolled his eyes before receiving the phone. Outside, while the car moved, reporters tried to get photos and speeches of him. "Yes, mum." He answered the call. Madame Williams worried voice boomed from the speakers. "What are you doing in the hospital, Frank?" She asked. Frank let out a deep breath, and his brow furrowed. The fact that he didn't have any privacy frustrated him. How did his mother receive the news of him being in the hospital so fast? "Mum, I am fine." He lied. "Was it because of the fall?" Madame Williams asked, her tone laced with a tease. Frank's eyebrow shot up. The fall? "How'd you know about the fall, Mum?" She laughed. "It's the company's top gist." Frank turned to Ian sternly. "You didn't take care of the video at the company?" He asked with an angry tone. Ian lowered his gaze and apologised. "I'm sorry, Mr. CEO, I'll take care of it." He said and took out his other phone. "Don't scold Ian. It's not his fault. I got the information through the board directors via Zoom before I saw the video." She said. Frank's eyebrow arched. "The board called you?" He asked, his voice cold and stern. He was displeased at that information. Madame Williams teased. "You didn't answer my question, so why should I answer yours?" Frank didn't respond. After a while, she continued. "Anyway, there is an emergency meeting tomorrow." Frank closed his eyes, his frustration evident on his face. "What is the purpose for the meeting? Who called for the meeting?" He asked. "I did!" She exclaimed boldy. "I called for the meeting, Frank, to take care of your attitude as Madame Williams." Frank didn't say anything. "You fire the team at Williams group at any slightest provocation, and I want to take care of that attitude." She said. Frank opened his eyes, and his brow furrowed. "Mother, I am doing what's best for the company." He said. "That's a lie, Frank. You know, I know." "Mum, I am close to the company. I need to go." There was silence for a while until Madame Williams spoke up. "Frank, I'm sorry you had to grow up with I and your dad as your parents, and-" Frank cut her short abruptly. "Mum, not now." Madame Williams' voice dropped to a whisper. "I wish I was there for you and-" She said, her sadness tinged in her tone. Frank's stern voice cut her again. "Mother, I am not in the mood to talk about that now." Madame Williams let out a sigh before saying. "Fine. Although, I have a request." Frank rolled his eyebrow like he knew she'd ask him for a favour again. She obviously wanted to nag him again about getting married. "Mother, I've met her, but we didn't talk much." "Who?" Her voice was laced with confusion. "Emily." "Oh! You met her? Tell me, do you like her? Isn't she cute?" She bombarded him with questions. Frank rolled his eyes heaven-ward. "She is okay, mother." Frank heard her clap her hands. "Great. I'll speak with her parents and we will fix a date." "Wait! Fix a date? Why?" Her tone sounded obvious. "For the wedding. You said she was okay." "Yes, okay. Just okay. It's not okay for marriage." "Oh, Frank, you're a hard nut." She complained. Frank let out a breath and said. "Mum, we will continue this discussion tomorrow." "Fine. Fine. But that was not what I wanted to ask." She said. Frank raised a questioning eyebrow, and his face twisted in a frown. "Then what do you want to ask?" He asked. "Well, the board requested the girl be re-employed." She said. "The girl?" "The cleaner girl." Frank was speechless. How could the board want her to be re-employed after she destroyed his car? "I can't do that, mum." Madame Williams seemed to take a breath before saying. "Well, you will, Frank. You won't tarnish the company's image for your benefit. The board wants her back, and so do I." Frank was about to say something but swallowed his words. "I'll see you at the company tomorrow." She said and dropped the call. Frank passed the phone to Ian, who received it, and tucked it in his pocket. "Sir, I-" Ian was about to say something when Frank looked at him sternly, his gaze telling him to shut it.
