I smiled gleefully, and the front door opened as I took my last step down the stairs. I looked and saw Dad standing in the doorway. I was so ecstatic. I forgot about the dress. I ran and leaped into his arms, giving him the biggest hug I'd ever given anyone. "Daddy!!!" We held each other for a little while, and I eventually pulled away when I heard the twins screaming from the top of the stairs.
"Daddy, you're here!!"
I chuckled at their excited little faces and stepped back so everyone else could say hello.
