She carefully applied concealer over the marks and chose a turtleneck sweater. After scrutinizing herself in the mirror to ensure nothing was visible, she sighed in relief.
Today, she had an appointment with Mary. Clarice arrived at the café early to wait for her.
Soon, Mary arrived and sat opposite her. "Hi, how's work going lately?"
