Clarice got a new phone number and moved to the city of Silverstone.
Logically, after such a long absence, the university should have canceled her enrollment. But fortunately, the university's leave of absence policy was undergoing reform at the time, and thanks to Professor Baker's efforts, Clarice's student status had been preserved. So, she rented an apartment near the university and began working on her reinstatement application while continuing her studies.
Sometimes, before starting something, we overthink it, imagining all sorts of difficulties. But once you take that first step, everything else seems to fall into place much more easily.
