A sudden drop in temperature had brought a cold, damp spell to the small town. The number of patients in the rehabilitation department had doubled, leaving Clarice incredibly busy all week. This morning, she had barely managed a slice of bread for breakfast before hurrying off to the hospital. Even before entering the clinic, Clarice could hear arguing from within. Donna appeared to be in a heated discussion with a patient, Mrs. Nash. As Clarice passed by, Nash’s eyes lit up. "Hey, Dr. Ford!" she called out. Clarice pointed to herself, puzzled. "Me?"
