Deacon and I went our separate ways after we left his house. I drove straight to my trailer while he left to go meet his father. He said his dad had another ‘run’ to make and wanted Deac to tag along. Inevitably, we got into a brief argument about his safety and what the hell is going on with the Scorpions. Deacon reassured me that everything was okay and his father was just acclimating him to his role a little bit earlier. It makes sense for Deacon to start learning the ropes as one day he will have to take over, but something just doesn’t sit right with me still.
