I shook my head, trying to process the sting of Ravena's words. I'd always known she spoke her mind, but it hurt to hear her say something so hurtful. It was such a shock because it came from someone I was really close to, someone I thought of almost like family. Her words felt like a real betrayal, and I'm still trying to figure out how the person I knew could have said something like that. Something so heartless.
