“Do you think this is the right thing to do? Why are you thinking like this? I can’t believe you would do this and to the Alpha, Gosh.” I couldn’t contain my shock anymore as I strode through the room. I paused and stared at the side view of Kayla's face. Wondering if I actually knew the real her. “This is treason,” I exclaimed, shaking my head.
My mate rolled her large blue eyes, walking towards me and resting her hands on mine. “Come on, darling. It is treason if you want it to be. Think of it like an upgrade. We are helping the pack grow.” Her voice was small and soft as if she just said the sweetest thing and not something that could bring us both to banishment, or worse death.
