Catherine's POV
Roy and I chatted until very late at the party, and it was almost one o'clock when we returned home. I didn't expect Monica to be awake. She was wearing earphones, sitting on the sofa, and watching a movie with a laptop in her arms.
"What movie?" I sat down next to her. She almost screamed, "Ah, you scared me."
I gently covered her mouth. "Hush."
Monica took off her earphones. "You drank quite a bit?"
"Indeed."
She placed her laptop and earphones aside and narrowed her eyes. "Tell me honestly. What happened? I smelt an unfamiliar man."
"Monica, I really can't hide anything from you." When I thought of meeting Roy, I blushed and lowered my head. Monica rushed over and tickled me. "Hurry up and tell me. Something must have happened."
