I rushed straight into the bathroom after returning home. I was afraid that the children would see me crying.
I hid in the bathroom and cried for a long time without daring to make a sound while bathing.
Then, Adela called me at the door. "Mommy?"
I hurriedly wrapped myself in a bathrobe and before walking out, I checked my face in the mirror. “What’s wrong, baby?"
"Nothing. I heard you coming back, so I came to see you. Are you alright?" Adela touched my face.
I hugged her. "I'm fine. Did you have fun today?"
"We did. In the evening, Tracy's grandma came. She brought us a delicious dinner." Adela rubbed her eyes and yawned. "I'm going to sleep. Good night, Mommy."
