Douglas stood to the side and only smiled at my words. He did not add a comment, which was one of the reasons why I admired him. No matter what decision the boss made, he would only obey instead of interfering with my personal life. I felt at ease with him.
That was why I decided to trust him with this. "I want you to check Linda's phone records as detailed as possible. You know what I'm looking for."
