Iris’s POV His steps carried us out to the left, welcoming a luxurious hall. The marble flooring stretched endlessly, and the crystal chandelier reflected the light falling on it. I wasn’t accepting this luxury. I couldn’t. Make any sense of it. His legs changed direction, leading a different way. Heavy velvet curtains framed the high windows, and antique furniture sat perfectly arranged. How many innocent human lives had they taken for this?
