New Beginning

Growling at Tom, Liam tightly holds my arm as if I’m his property. I’m not an Alpha's property. “I’m sorry, have I missed something?” Tom asks. “Mates are our destiny. They make Alpha’s strong. You are not a wolf, I can smell your vile trickery.” Growls could be heard as others started to surround us. “Um…” I try to change the topic of discussion but fail. Miserably. Yanking my arm away, Alpha Liam takes hold of it again. This time, I’m not having his nonsense. Summing up my yoki (magic), I send a spark of electricity to his hand. A sharp spark for him to release me. “Tacy, are you ok?” Tom checks my arm for any injuries. All that is on my arm is a large red mark in the shape of Alpha Liam’s hand. “I told you, she belongs to me!” Liam pushes Tom away. Taunting him for a fight. “No one touches her, no one speaks to her unless I say so.” Liam seethed. Steam rose from his hot head. "Back off, Liam. Tacy is my mate, not yours." Tom steps in front of me, shielding me from Liam's advances. "Your mate? Ha! You're not even a wolf, how could you be her mate?" Liam scoffs. "I may not be a wolf, but I am her mate. And I will protect her with my life." Tom steps closer to Liam, challenging him. Liam doesn't back down, he takes a step closer to Tom. Their chests almost touching. "You're lucky I don't kill you right now." He spits in Tom’s face before storming off. The rest of the Blue Moon pack leaves with their Alpha. The mood at the party takes a turn for the worse. I can feel the tension in the air, thick and suffocating. Tom turns to me, "I'm sorry about that. Are you ok?" I nod my head, still in shock from what just happened. "Yeah, I'm fine." We make our way through the crowd, saying goodbye to people as we go. I can tell Tom is still on edge, his body tense and rigid. He doesn't relax until we are in his guest room, sitting on the small sofa against the wall. "That was intense," I say, finally breaking the silence. "Yeah, it was." Tom rubs his temples, trying to relieve some of the tension. "Liam is a hothead, he doesn't know how to control his anger," I explained. "Is he always like that?" Tom asked. "No, usually he's one of the calmest people you'll meet. But ever since he became an Alpha, he's been different. I don't know what it is, but something about you sets him off." I ramble on. Tom glances at me, his eyes are dark and troubled. I sink into my seat, wondering what it is that would make someone so angry. I've never had this effect on anyone before. Maybe it's because I'm Tom’s mate? But even then, that doesn't make any sense. Mates are supposed to be a good thing, not something that would make someone so angry. Tom reaches over and takes my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry about it, Tacy. I won't let anything happen to you." I give him a small smile, grateful for his words. But even with Tom by my side, I can't help but feel like something bad is going to happen. Something very bad indeed. *** The most divine smell wakes up both the residents and guests at Alpha Kade’s pack house. The magic brew made for over 30 people entices them out of their slumber. Meandering their way out of their rooms, down to the kitchen. There they find their hostess, Kade’s mother, bustling about with plates of food. The table is already set for the early risers and fresh coffee brews in the pot. It takes a few minutes for everyone to be seated and help themselves to the feast. Mrs. Kestrel chats amiably with her guests as they eat, catching up on news and gossip. It doesn't take long before the rest of the pack start to filter in, taking their places at the table. There is a lot of good-natured teasing and laughter as everyone enjoys their breakfast. Once everyone has had their fill, Mrs. Kestrel stands and claps her hands to get everyone's attention. "I have some announcements to make." she says, her voice carrying throughout the room. "First of all, I want to welcome our new pack members and guests. Kade has asked me to extend a warm welcome to you all and we hope you enjoy your stay here." she smiles at everyone before continuing. "Secondly, we have a new litter of puppies that were born last night. Kaden and his friends are going to be helping me take care of them, so if you see them around please make sure you say hello." she finishes with a smile. There are cheers and wolf whistles from the pack at the news of the new puppies and Mrs. Kestrel chuckles before sitting back down. Kaden grins at his friends before standing up and announcing that he and his friends are going to go and check on the puppies. There are more cheers and well-wishes as they head out, Kade’s mother shaking her head fondly after them. The six of them make their way down to the lower levels of the pack house, where the new puppies are being kept. They're all gathered in a large pen, tumbling around and play fighting with each other. Kade opens the gate and goes in, his friends following close behind. The puppies swarm them, yipping and licking at their hands in excitement. Kade crouches down and lets them climb all over him, laughing as they try to lick his face. His friends are soon surrounded as well, and they spend the next few minutes playing with the adorable puppies. Eventually they manage to tear themselves away and head back upstairs, promising to come back and visit later. They can hear the puppies yipping after them as they go, their high-pitched voices fading into the distance. As they reach the top of the stairs, Kade’s mother is there waiting for them. "I'm glad you boys went to see the puppies." she says, a smile on her face. "They're so cute!" Kade’s friend Damian exclaims. "They are." Kade’s mother agrees. "But there's something else I need to talk to you about." *** Sitting in the guest office, Tom runs his hands through his hair as he stares at the evil computer. Email, after email of reports of unauthorized demon sightings. Leaving chaos and havoc wherever they go. With the reports only in the tabloids as fake news, Tom knows its the Japanese Government covering for him until he can get the situation under control. Entering his office, Haruka and his elder brother Terry slowly approach him. "Um... a... well...um..." Terry mutters. Nudging him in the side, Haruka shifts her head and eyes to pressure Terry to speak clearly. Wringing his hands together, Terry looks down at his fascinating feet. "What is it?" Tom’s firm, deep voice commands them to speak. "Yoyo disappeared." Terry suddenly blurted. Rolling her eyes, Haruka stepped forward. "Yoyo went missing last night. At first, we thought he was pranking us. Then when we couldn't find him or contact him via his cell phone. We then checked the flights between America and Japan. We have concluded that Yoyo is not here." “What do mean Yoyo is not here?” Tom’s calm strict voice-only brewed a calm before the storm that Terry knew all too well. He was here, then just vanished. “I called in a favor from Zach Masters,” Terry began. "He's got a team searching for him." "Zach Masters?" Tom questioned. "Yeah, the one I met in England. You know, he's a hot head like me..." Terry began. "Oh, that one." Tom nodded, reminiscing about college. Shaking his head, Tom snapped back to reality. Rubbing his head with one hand, Tom leaned back exhausted at the troublemaker of a brother. “Heika, allow me to take care of this.” Haruka volunteered. “You have a wedding to plan, and it seems there is some trouble back home with an oni (demon). Terry, I’ll like you to keep in touch Mr. Masters, we will find Yoyo. And this wedding is going to happen the way your future Queen wants.” Sighing, Tom nodded at his cousin and elder brother to leave him in peace. “Yoyo, what have you done?” Tom whispers to himself. *** Tom POV Holding my head in my hands, I can’t believe the trouble my brother has put us through. Closing my eyes, I try to envision as to where he might have gone. Or, was he kidnapped? No, that couldn’t be, could it? I hear the high pitched creak of the door opening. Before I lifted my head up, I felt her comforting hand on my shoulder. “Is everything all right?” Tacy asks me. Her grey eyes searching me for the truth. “Everything is fine, princess. Things will be better if you sat here.” Looking up at her, I patted my lap for her to sit. Wrapping her soft arms around my neck, I buried my head into hers. Her natural scent is the only thing that comforts me. The only thing that feels right in this chaotic world. Pecking her neck, she gingerly ran her fingers through my hair. Then she teases me by tickling the back of my neck so I would lift my head to face her. Our breaths speeding up in antcipation for what would come next. As our lips teased each other with pecks and kisses. For the last six months, her taste is all I could think of. The sweet vanilla chapstick she wears. Her plump lips that know just what to say to make me weak in the knees. How could I have allowed her to leave? My need for her increases, as if some primal animal is taking over me. I lift her from lap, placing her perfect round bottom on the desk. Her giggle is the only permission I need to ravish her. Tacy supports herself with her hands as she leans back, giving me access to more of her intoxicating body. My hands find their way up her pencil, black skirt. Just imagining her firm, toned thighs tightly wrapped around my waist as I feel her core tighten around me drives my imagination insane. I never let go of her mouth, our need for each only continues. Stripping from the confines of my white button up shirt, she pushes me away to take a better look at the show. Her eyes darken watching me unlock each button. Grabbing onto my under shirt, she rips me free from it. The shredded shirt now littering the red carpeted floor of the office. Her hand traces every groove from my neck down. Just before she arrives at my belt, I pull her off the desk, making quick work of releasing her from her skirt. Tearing her panty hose to expose the thin, laced final gate to her body. Biting her lip, pushes me over the edge. Capturing those luscious lips with mine, I maneuver us over to the exposed window. The cold draft of the window pane only slightly cools the heat emanating between us. Taking her from behind, I press her against the window. Lifting her left leg to give me better access. I move her final gate out the way as my other hand moves in front and prepares her to see stars. “Tom, quit teasing me…” She breathlessly murmurs. “Good things come to those that wait, princess.” I whisper in her ear. “Look outside, do you see those werewolves on the lawn training?” Her wet nectar drips in anxious agony on my hand. The welcoming gate allows me to enter. With two of the best views in Virgina, her body and the forest outside, we both drown in the ecstasy as our bodies become one. “Tom… please,... people can see…” her breath leaves a foggy imprint on the window, her sweaty palms that grip onto the window also leave their mark. I smirk to myself as I watch her unfold before me, glancing outside, I see a guy on a bench with a clear view of us. Stroking himself. Trying to hide it under his backpack, but it’s clear as to what he’s doing. Her walls squeeze me, which only encourages me to pound harder and quicker. My princess trembles from her euphoric experience. I pound a few more times before releasing my own swimmers inside. “I won’t let you go, unless you tell me.” My raspy voice whispers. Leaving kisses along her back, I continue to hold her to support her as she catches her breath. “Don’t ever let me go again.” She leans back in my arms. Picking her up, I carry her to my guest room bathroom. Gently washing our bodies, my kisses over her body speak for themselves. Once dried, we cuddle on my bed with only the sheet covers to hide our most sacred parts. Morning breaks through the curtains by the window. Rolling over, I feel the cold bed with no trace of Tacy. Searching the room with no sign of her, maybe she went home or something. I briskly get dressed and head downstairs for my morning ritual of coffee. Spotting my princess, I pull her aside. "What is with all the suitcases?" I ask Tacy, pointing at them. She avoids eye contact as I slowly move closer to her. Looked around the genkan (entrance of the packhouse) filled with suitcases and taped-up boxes of all different sizes. "I'm moving out," she finally says, her voice trembling. "I can't do this anymore." I want to say something, but I don't know what. I feel like I'm being punched in the gut. I thought we were doing fine. Or at least, better than before. "When?" is all I manage to croak out. "Now, Alpha Liam wants to leave as soon as possible," she replies. She won't look at me and it feels like a knife stabbing into my heart. "I'm sorry, Tom.” "Alpha Liam claims I am his mate. Tom, I know you don't understand the mate bond... but we can't ignore it. Here." She hands me the promise ring I gave her only days ago. The gold band is dead in the palm of her hand. "This can't be the only reason, princess. For as much as I don't share my bed with just anyone..." I continued. "Is it possible you have two mates?" I turn on my stoic face to hide the horror of the possibility of sharing her with a giant neanderthal werewolf. "It could be possible. Look, Tom. If anything, I'm going as a pack ambassador. If I truly am his mate, then things will turn out for the best." "And us?" I whisper close to her. "Us... we aren't that simple." She responds back. Pecking my cheek with a goodbye kiss, I watch her leave me for a second time. But this time, I won't let her leave. “Love isn’t simple, princess. I promised to never let you go. And I intend to keep that promise.” Rushing to her side, I grab her arm to stop her. I need to stop her from making the biggest mistake of her life. Thundering into me, Liam pins me up against a wall. His growl almost breaks my eardrum. "NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, touches her! You hear me human?" Liam struts to Tacy, pulling her close to him. Together they walked out of the packhouse. The enforcer wolves follow them from behind. And with that, she walks out of the door, out of my life. I stand there, stunned, as I watch her drive away. I can't believe it. She's really gone. I sink to the floor, surrounded by the remnants of our life together, and I cry. I cry until I have no tears left. And then I just sit there, numb, in the middle of it all. My senses are in a mixed up confused mess. All the time we spent together, all the memories made. Just... poof. The wheels in my head begin to spin, moving all the emotions into their rightful place. Sorting this situation and how to fix it. No, how to make things right again. This isn't the end, she will be mine. We both suffered enough to get this far. "Heika?" Haruka whispers to me. "I know the prophecy, Haruka . And I plan to stop our reincarnation cycle this time." My voice is full of venom and she nods in understanding. The prophecy will be fulfilled, but not the way anyone expects it to be. "What are you waiting for? We have a lot of preparations to make." Haruno pulls me away from the packhouse and into the woods. *** Tacy POV Arriving at the pack house, it looks like it was made out of Italian marble, a mansion that is fit for an A list celebrity or dignitary. It was a little intimidating being the new girl here, but I had to remember that I am now a part of this pack. Stepping out of my car, I am instantly hit with the smell of wolf and musk. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but it quickly becomes familiar. Walking up to the front door, I am met by a large man, who I assume is the Beta. He gives me a once-over before opening the door and gesturing for me to enter. The inside of the house is just as opulent as the outside and I can't help but gawk at my surroundings. The Beta leads me to a large room where several people are sitting around talking. He announces my presence and everyone turns to look at me. I am met with a few curious glances, but mostly friendly faces. “This is Azeala,” The Beta introduces us. “I’m the abused Omega,” she proudly states, puffing out her chest. Her eyes glimmer with spite, as if she’s scheming something. A look that I only thought Kana, the demon I killed only had. “I’m going skinny dipping in the lake nearby, do you want to join me?” Azalea asks me. I just barely met her, plus this whole place is huge. I need a map or blueprints to find my way around. Shaking my head, “No, thanks. I think I should take a tour of the packhouse.” Stomping her feet with a huff, she strips as she heads towards the lake outside. “Is she always like that?” I ask the Beta. “Yeah, she doesn’t have a lot of friends. Claims she doesn’t need them. She has an imaginary boyfriend instead.” he shrugs as we continue our tour. Walking by some offices, I see a sign with names on it. “What’s this?” I point to the sign. A closer look, it’s a wanted poster of rogues in the area. “This is our rouge list. Those that oppose Alpha Liam and the Blue Moon Pack. There’s even a few Rogue MC members.” The Beta continues, “Let me show you to your room.” Following him to my bedroom, we end up on the top floor. “This entire 10th floor is for only the Alpha and his mate. All 20 rooms are yours to do as you please. As for the other 80 rooms throughout the packhouse, you can renovate them when you are done with your floor.” Turning swiftly away, the Beta leaves me high and dry on the stark unfurnished 10th floor. “Tacy,” Kira my wolf wimpers. “I miss Tom. Liam isn’t our mate, is he?” She weakly wags her tail in the back of my mind. “No,Kira, I don’t think he is. He claims we are, and we need to honor the mate bond. But there is a possibility we will find our mate soon enough, I promise.” I try to soothe her the best I can. Kira whines before she goes back to sleep in the back of my mind. Liam wasn't my mate, but having him as my Alpha was better than nothing--especially when that something would be a cold-hearted bastard like Q or an old geezer like En. At least with Liam, I sorta felt safe and protected. He might not have been my ideal mate, but he was a good Alpha and I respected him. As the days passed, I started to get antsy. I wanted to explore the packhouse and see what all there was to see. But Liam had made it clear that I wasn't allowed to leave the 10th floor without him. Not that I really minded--I knew he was just trying to keep me safe. But one day, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to get out of the room and explore. Kira was asleep in the back of my mind, so I decided to go for a run. Maybe if I stretched my legs, I would feel better. I left a note for Liam telling him where I was going, then headed out. It felt good to be outside and moving. The fresh air invigorated me and I ran faster and harder than I had in months. Before long, I found myself at the edge of the pack property. There was a tall fence that stretched as far as the eye could see in both directions. I knew Liam had said the pack owned thousands of acres of land, but I hadn't realized just how big it was. I followed the fence until I came to a gate. It was locked, but that didn't stop me. I shifted into my wolf form and easily jumped over it. Once on the other side, I started running again. I had no idea where I was going, but I didn't care. It felt good to be free and to be running. I ran until I was exhausted, then laid down in the grass to rest. As I lay there, panting and trying to catch my breath, I heard a noise in the distance. It sounded like someone was coming. Quickly, I shifted back into human form and grabbed my clothes, which I had left just inside the gate. I was just pulling them on when Liam came into view. He looked madder than I had ever seen him and I knew I was in for it. But even as he scolded me for disobeying him and for putting myself in danger, I couldn't help but feel happy. I had finally found my freedom. And no matter what happened, I would never let anyone take that away from me again. Back at the pack house, Alpha Liam pushes me up against the wall. “You will never leave without my permission.” He hisses. “Everything you do will need my permission. When you wake up, when you eat, even when you need to pee. Do you understand?” Nodding in silence, I hold back my tears. Searching my mind of the time when my father died. Trying to remember how I numbed my feelings. What was life like before Tom? If I have to live like that again, then I don’t want to live. Releasing his grasp of me, I bolt out the back door. The white, double French doors swing back and forth from my unexpected escape. Channeling my yoki to my feet, my speed is faster than earlier. Bounding back over the fence I let my wolf Kira take over. Our feet thud with each step as we run away from Alpha Liam. Coming to a waterfall, we hesitate. The waterfall is a good 10,000 feet. Watching the rush of the rapids below only flares up my anxiety. My head builds up the tension with all the horrible things could happen if I jump or if I return to Alpha Liam. And Tom. After everything we have been through. He deserves someone better than a hormonal Omega. “Kira, I don’t think it’s a good idea if we jump…” I told her. “We left Tom, he probably won’t take us back a second time. And I can’t stand Alpha Liam. This is our only option.” Before I could switch control with her, she forced us to jump over the waterfall. “Kowabunga!!”
