Hurt him.
It was laughable, but he didn't.
He just kept his hands on his hips and watched her swing the lamp dramatically. Not even a hundred lamps swung together could hurt him.
Had she not learned from a second ago?
"Drop the object, Diana. And don't make me repeat myself."
His tone was serious, actually causing a shiver down her spine. There was just something about it that made her want to obey him.
Perhaps it was the Alpha aura.
Except Diana did everything to bypass the signal, staring at his forehead instead of his eyes, tuning his voice out instead of letting it hypnotize her.
"I am not joking, Aiden. If you come..." she threatened with a shaky voice when Aiden took three steps towards her, daring her to submit.
Now he was directly in front of her, and though she stood on the bed, making her an inch taller than him, she still felt small.
He was now inches from her, and she decided that she had to mean her words.
She swung hard and fast, in her head.
But to Aiden, she was quite slow.
He caught her arm mid-air, the lamp falling helplessly onto the bed.
She winced from the tightness of his fingers around her wrist.
"Now who's hurting who, princess?" Aiden asked her with a smirk.
She looked him back in the eyes finally, hatred gleaming from those two blue electric pools.
"I'm sure you can do better than this..." she dared him with feigned defiance.
Okay, he was officially going nuts.
His smirk was wiped off his face, replaced by a scowl as he let her wrist go roughly.
He had tried to be nice, to respect her as his Luna-to-be, but she kept annoying him, pushing him.
She was the one taunting him, not the other way around.
He had to do better.
Let her know that he was indeed ruthless to his name.
He pulled out his phone and dialled a number, hitting Diana with confusion.
She couldn't guess what was happening, except that she might have angered him to a certain point and he was simply reacting.
"Vincent? I need you in my room."
Vincent.
She silently sighed in relief, knowing that if Vincent was involved, it wouldn't be so bad.
Vincent arrived three minutes later, his face almost unrecognisable, professional and stricken with loyalty.
It made her a little scared.
"Yes, Alpha."
He bowed without acknowledging her.
"Take her to the other girls."
Vincent hesitated for a second and gave her a what have you done now? look.
Who were the other girls?
"Yes, Alpha."
With that, he came close to her.
For a second, Diana saw disappointment in his eyes, then resolve.
He put her on his shoulders the same way Aiden had brought her to the room.
"You never learn, do you? Annoying Aiden so much that he decided to send you to those bitches. You think you're bad, Diana? Wait until you're with those women."
He spoke on their way to wherever they were going.
Diana was not even fighting back. She was pondering on what he had said, wondering if she had not been smart but childish.
This was not how to save her mother, by being impulsive and leaving Aiden to be unpredictable.
"Who are they, Vince?"
He didn't reply for like a minute.
Then, later, he finally said, "A bunch of women from the pack that would do anything to be with Aiden. They would walk on fire if he told them to. They are like his fan club, but dangerous. If they realise who you are, or recognise you from that night, you will be bullied."
They were outside now, and he was still walking and talking with her over his shoulders, while Diana blamed herself for being stupid.
He walked forever until he reached a house, one that looked like a cottage.
Then he dropped her, knocked on the door, and waited without looking at Diana.
"Vince...?" She asked, her voice shaky. "Are they that bad?"
Oh, they're the worst, Vincent answered in his head, but kept quiet.
The door cracked open, then opened widely, revealing a woman whose beauty seemed unreal to Diana.
She was like a supermodel with nearly pearly white skin, tall and lean, yet busty, with long, curly black hair that danced around her.
She instantly smiled at Vincent, revealing a set of perfectly white formed teeth.
And when she looked at Diana, her smile widened even more.
"You brought us another girl?" the woman asked expectantly, like she was truly excited, assessing Diana like she was a simple test, or a confused pet to be toyed with.
"She's cute. Will she be one of us? His women?"
His women.
She could see this woman doing everything to satisfy Aiden.
And it was not supposed to bother her, but it did.
A tiny, wincy bit.
Actually, she was curious. Curious to see the kind of women he had had before her. Not like he had or her, or that she intended to be ever had by him.
Perhaps it would help her be the opposite and annoy him until he lets her go.
"Don't hurt her, Sheila," Vincent told the woman with gravity in his tone, earning a frown from her.
Sheila crossed her arms, a look of disgust replacing her excitement.
She was now realising what a threat Diana was to her.
She was supposed to be Aiden's favourite concubine, the one everyone in the pack expected to become his Luna.
Even his mother thought so, a union she couldn't wait to see happen, as she called Sheila the perfect b***h by his side. His downfall.
"Hmm. Your order or his?"
Mine. Vincent almost answered.
Aiden had not clearly given him the order to protect Diana, but he had a feeling it was the right thing to do.
The Alpha liked to protect his possessions, and in other words, he was watching out for Diana and the other girls in the cottage.
Aiden's Harem House.
"Sheila!" he warned. "Do not hurt her. You don't want problems with our Alpha."
Sheila was annoyed, her expression stale with hate.
Apparently, Diana was more important than her if Aiden was protecting her.
"Hmm. So why bring her here...?"
Vincent didn't answer, not wanting to banter words that would counter his former order.
"Diana. You take care." He said it to her before whispering the rest of his words in her ear.
"Watch your back!"
