Chapter Four

402 Words
After an hour long shower Isabella switched the shower off and got out. She searched around and found her beauty products already unpacked by the housekeeper who had arrived a few days before. She sat on the white, fluffy stool in her bathroom by a vanity unit and began applying her scented body lotion, followed by her face creams and deodorant before slipping into her Victoria Secrets cami and short set pyjamas and blow drying her hair. She felt a lot better after a long and steamy shower and hair wash. Heading back into her bedroom, Isabella picked her phone up and got onto her bed, searching through her contacts for her boyfriend’s number. She found the contact “Thomas Morgan” and selected FaceTime and lounged on the bed, trying to give the façade of being casual and completely unbothered. It rung for just under two minutes before being declined. Isabella’s stomach churned and her heart began to race whilst she waited for a call back.  After a while of waiting, Isabella picked up the remote control for her television and climbed into bed, settling herself down and put something on Netflix for her to mindlessly watch. She had just got into an episode when her phone vibrated, causing her to jolt and come back to reality.   Time: Jan 26th 2020.  22:37 To: Isabella Lussu From: Thomas Morgan Can’t talk right now, busy. I wish you were here, I put something cute on for you x   Staring at the phone, Isabella waited for the text to be read, which it was around three minutes later, but he didn’t message back again. She gulped, attempting to shift the nausea she was feeling and anxiety. Maybe he was just showering or studying. When Isabella had found out she would be moving, her and Thomas decided to give a long distance relationship a go. She knew it’d be hard but she believed in them, believed they had something special and that it would be worth it. Putting her phone on charge. Isabella tried her best to block out any further anxiety driven thoughts about Thomas and continued with watching the show on Netflix before slowly drifting asleep. The hustle and bustle of the city was comforting at night, she  didn’t feel so alone anymore.  Maybe she could get used to living in the City, for now.
