Amara’s POV.
After grabbing lunch with Damien, we were pretty much like a couple. Well, we practically were. I was his mate, and he was mine.
“Since when have you become possessive of the Alpha King?” Selene’s voice echoed in my head, causing me to roll my eyes.
I never thought I’d become possessive of Damien, but my wolf made me realize I had. I was never fond of romance. I never imagined myself falling in love or turning into a domineering lover, but who would have thought I’d end up becoming one of them? Life was indeed full of surprises.
“Shut up, Selene,” was all I could say because she kept making fun of me. I cut our link and shook her voice out of my head. I didn’t want to be in a bad mood today.
We were heading back to the council court, where we had gone the previous time.
