Amara’s POV.
After the Royal Family and others had called it a day, I found myself unable to shake off the apprehension as I stood in front of Damien. I felt like a young girl, afraid of making a mistake and facing the consequences from an elder.
I lowered my head. I couldn’t bring myself to meet his eyes. I felt guilty and ashamed of my actions. I knew I had put myself in danger, and it was not a wise decision. I could have been hurt or worse. Damien towered over me, raising his voice in anger.
“Luna, what were you thinking? Putting yourself in danger like that? You could have been killed!” he shouted. “What if something bad happened to you?”
I flinched at the loudness of his voice. It didn’t sit well with me. I mean, I knew what I did was wrong, but I didn’t appreciate being shouted
