Being the other half of the Alpha King of the Dark Crescent Pack, it was not unusual for me to be away for a few days at a time. However, as I looked over at the pack house now, I hesitated to continue on my way.
I knew Damien and the rest of the pack must have been worried about my sudden disappearance, and my unexpected return would only add to their concerns. But if I didn’t come back after being gone for several days, their worries would only escalate, and they would suspect that something was wrong.
