Lucas strode into the medical facility, the cool air inside a stark contrast to the air outside.
The attending doctor, engaged in attending to Victoria, looked up, a furrow forming on his brow as the door creaked open.
A nurse stepped in and subtly informed the doctor of Lucas's presence, prompting him to excuse himself from Victoria. With a professional demeanor, he went outside and approached Lucas, nodding in acknowledgment.
"Mr. Harrington, what brings you here?" the doctor inquired, his tone measured.
"Victoria Montgomery. How is she?" Lucas asked, a fake look of concern etched across his face.
The doctor, conscious of patient confidentiality, offered a succinct update. "She's sustained a fractured hand. We've treated it, and she's stable."
Lucas, sizing up the situation, turned his gaze to the nurse who informed the doctor of his presence. "Lead me to her."
The nurse, avoiding direct eye contact with the doctor, hesitated before her short response. "Okay"

Lucas stepped into the room where Victoria was recuperating. Victoria, seeing him, perked up on the bed she was lying on, her eyes betraying a mix of surprise and curiosity. Lucas took a chair, dragged it closer to the bed, and sat down.
The sterile smell of the hospital room hung in the air, setting the scene for an uneasy yet crucial conversation. Lucas, breaking the silence, decided to cut to the chase. "Victoria, I'm not here to play games. I want to know the real story between Damien and Isabella's relationship you seem to be familiar with them"
Victoria, a little upset that the reason he came to see her was once again because of Isabella asked, "Oh, Damien and Isabella, is that why you are here."
Lucas, undeterred, leaned forward. "Yes"
Victoria, sensing Lucas's tension, decided to reveal the truth. "Lucas, Damien is just Isabella's bodyguard. That's all there is to it."
A subtle wave of relief washed over Lucas, and he heaved a sigh. "Just a bodyguard, huh?" he muttered to himself, contemplating the implications.
He couldn't shake off the lingering thoughts of Isabella's actions and wondered why she had lied about Damien being a good friend, after concluding that she was probably playing games with him he stood and proceeded to leave the room.
As Lucas made his way to the door, he stopped, casting a cold, stern glance back at Victoria. "Let's be clear, Victoria. If you ever try to harm Isabella again, you'll have me to contend with." With that, Lucas exited the hospital room, leaving behind a charged atmosphere and a perplexed Victoria.

In a dimly lit room, two figures engaged in hushed conversation. The younger of the two, with a tone betraying a hint of eagerness, relayed recent information to the elder.
In a quiet exchange, the younger figure leaned in, voice barely audible, "There's a new player in the Archer mansion, an imposing bodyguard named Damien. Rumor has it he's here to protect the sisters."
The elder figure leaned back, a wry smile playing on aged features. "Damien, you say? Interesting. But fear not, my dear. Our plans remain unaffected. His presence may even provide an unexpected twist."
Confusion etched the features of the younger figure, who questioned, "But won't he pose a threat?"
On the contrary, the elder figure chuckled, "A bodyguard is a mere pawn in the grand scheme. Our focus remains on the upcoming charity gala. That's where we strike. Isabella's vulnerability and impulsiveness will be our greatest advantage."
As the elder figure spoke, there was a calculated assurance in every word, a confidence that hinted at meticulous planning and a history of cunning maneuvers. The room seemed to absorb their whispered discourse, becoming a vault for clandestine intentions.

The next morning at the Archer mansion, Damien, dressed in workout gear, descended to the security personnel's quarters where a gym was one of the buildings.
The low hum of activity surrounded him as he entered the gym, exchanging nods and greetings with the security personnel present.
As he approached the treadmill, one of the guards, Jake, called out, "Morning, Damien. Early start are we?"
Damien offered a casual smile. "Yeah, gotta stay on top of things. You know how it is."
Jake chuckled. "True that. Anything specific on the agenda?"
"Just my usual routine," Damien replied, setting the treadmill to a steady pace. "Gotta keep in shape for the job."
As Damien continued his workout, Jake, wiping sweat from his forehead, approached with a curious expression.
"So, Damien, how was your first day working with the Archer sisters?" Jake inquired, his tone filled with genuine interest.
Damien paused the treadmill for a moment and leaned against it. "It was alright," he replied, surprising the gathered security personnel.
The Archer sisters were known for being resistant to having a bodyguard, and Damien's response piqued their interest.
Jake raised an eyebrow. "Alright? I expected some drama. You know the sisters aren't receptive to personal security."
Damien gave a wry smile. "They're not as bad as they seem. Miss Isabella, in particular, seems more open to the idea."
Jake chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "You're telling me Miss Isabella, the one who seemed to hate the idea the most, is more open to it now?"
Damien resumed his workout, nodding. "Surprisingly, yes. It seems like perceptions can change."
The security personnel exchanged glances, silently processing this unexpected turn of events.

Within the Archer mansion's private gym, Isabella donned her workout attire and engaged in her morning exercise routine. The ambient light highlighted the lavish surroundings, creating a serene atmosphere exclusive to the Archer family.
As Isabella briskly walked on the treadmill, Alexandra, also dressed for a workout, entered the gym. The subtle hum of the exercise equipment formed a soothing backdrop to their morning routine. Alexandra, with a mischievous glint in her eye, decided to playfully echo Isabella's words from the previous night. "Call me Bella," she teased.
Startled, Isabella paused her workout, meeting Alexandra's gaze. A faint blush crept onto her cheeks as she realized her sister had overheard the intimate exchange with Damien. "You heard that?"
With a playful grin, Alexandra affirmed, "Heard every word. Spill the tea, little sister. What happened between you and Damien last night?"
Isabella rolled her eyes, attempting to downplay the situation. "Nothing happened. He's just a bodyguard doing his job."
Alexandra, raising an eyebrow, responded, "A bodyguard, huh?
Isabella couldn't help but grin. "Well, I may have had my doubts at first, but he's not like the previous bodyguard. Damien seems okay."
Alexandra arched an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "Okay, huh? Considering your initial plan to scare him away, it seems like your opinion has done a complete 180."
Isabella chuckled, admitting, "I guess spending a day out can change your perspective. He's professional and seems genuinely concerned about our safety."
With a mischievous twinkle in her eyes, Alexandra continued the banter. "So, does this mean we'll be seeing more of 'Mr. Okay' around the mansion?"
Isabella rolled her eyes, still feeling a bit embarrassed about the unexpected change in dynamics. "Let's not jump to conclusions."
As Isabella and Alexandra concluded their workout in the mansion's exclusive gym, Jessica Diaz, the family's efficient personal assistant, entered. She wore a professional maid's uniform, a testament to her role in managing various aspects of the Archer mansion.
"Good morning, Miss Isabella, Miss Alexandra," Jessica greeted with a courteous nod. "Breakfast is ready.
Isabella, wiping off sweat, smiled and added, "Oh, and Jessica, don't forget to let Damien know it's time for breakfast. We wouldn't want him missing out."
"Of course, Miss Isabella. I'll inform Mr. Damien right away," Jessica responded, understanding the request.
As Jessica left Alexandra raised an amused eyebrow. "Isabella, you've taken a liking to Damien, haven't you? From trying to scare him away to making sure he joins us for breakfast."
Isabella laughed, the camaraderie between the sisters evident. "Well, people can surprise you and Damien did surprise me."

The aroma of freshly prepared breakfast filled the Archer family dining room. As they gathered around the table, Isabella, Alexandra, Richard, Eleanor, and Damien.
Isabella, enjoying her breakfast, turned to Damien. "Don't forget to get ready for the car race show today that Lucas invited me to last night."
Damien, in between bites, nodded. "Sure, I'll be ready."
Turning her attention to Alexandra, Isabella proposed, "And Alex, you should come with us. It's not healthy to stay cooped up at home all day."
Alex, who had been quietly sipping her coffee, initially resisted. "I have some readings to catch up on today. I'll pass."
Their mother chimed in, "It's a good idea, Alex. You need some fresh air. Don't stay indoors all the time."
After some convincing, Alex reluctantly agreed, "Alright, fine. I'll go, but don't expect me to be enthusiastic about it."
With a chuckle, Isabella teased, "Oh, come on, Alex. It might be more fun than you think. Plus, we could use a cheering squad."
The family continued their breakfast, bantering and discussing the day ahead. Amidst the lively chatter of the Archer family, Richard and Eleanor exchanged subtle glances across the table. Unspoken understanding passed between them, acknowledging the acceptance of Damien by the two Archer sisters.
