3 Days after Myra receives her job
My back hits something solid and I feel myself sinking. My ears are ringing and my thoughts are disoriented, but I start to try and sit up. I start to panic as I try to breathe and just end up inhaling water instead of oxygen. I flail my arms and legs in an attempt to keep myself from drowning but it won’t do me any good.
I never learned to swim.
Not that it would matter anyway: I’m still blind from the explosion that took place just seconds before. I can’t see, breathe, or swim. I can’t think. I desperately call out for help; something I haven't done since before joining The Group.
