THIRD PERSON'S POV
There was nothing more embarrassing than what just happened to her. A man pulling her pans down and forcing her to sit on the chamber pot was something she never imagined would happen to her. And yet it did.
Her hands instantly went to cover what needed to be covered and she's certain her face face is red with embarrassment.
Shameless, damned rascal! She cursed him inside her head. But the bastard just sat comfortably in the bed, watching her what she would do next. He was awfully calm as if he did not just pull a lady's pants down.
"That was not very polite!" she chided. Her ears may have been smoking in fury. Her finger was pointed at him to hopefully knock some sense into him that what he did was not appropriate in any way.
But the man had the nerve to sigh annoyingly which irked her more.
Elma, having no choice left, hurriedly sat down, using her hands to pull her clothes to try and cover herself as much as possible.
Everything happened too quickly, her buttocks felt cool, and the sound of trickling echoed in the room. Elma wished she could dig a hole and bury herself in it. When her eyes darted in his direction, he was just looking at her. As though the sound of her pee does not even bother him. But it bothered her. She doesn't think she would be able to wait for two years in order to escape. With the embarrassment, she's willing to face the unknown dangers of the wilderness surrounding them than be with this man any second longer.
She also wanted to curse the water she had drunk earlier. If she had known this was going to happen, she should have not indulged herself with the pleasure of quenching her thirst. She relived herself for quite some time all while Woodrow stared and waited.
It felt as if she had lost all the dignity she had in her eighteen years of life at that very moment.
After finishing, Elma swiftly pulled up her trousers, never failing to give Woodrow a glare, and agilely scampered onto the bed, covering herself tightly with a tattered quilt. She hoped her embarrassment could be covered by the thick material and will be gone entirely in the morning but she knows it was impossible.
Meanwhile, it took every ounce of Woodrow's control to stop himself from showing his amusement. He stepped out with the chamber pot, feeling quite pleased inside. Seeing Elma pissed and lively was a good sign. It meant she was recovering. The last thing he would want to happen is to have her die in their care. Like what happened to one of the women they brought to the house.
He fetched water and cleaned the chamber pot before returning to the room. After returning, he did not disturb Elma, who had wrapped herself like a silkworm in a cocoon, but laid down beside her.
Elma was still uncomfortable and he wasn't doing anything to lessen it. If anything, he might have made it worse. He swore to himself he was not going to scare her again. So he did not disturb her and let her sleep in peace.
Soon, his steady snoring once again filled the room. After a long time, Elma noticed that he seemed to be sound asleep and indeed had no intention of touching her.
Exhausted, she finally couldn't resist the drowsiness and gradually closed her eyes.
However, the night grew colder.
Cold wind blew in through the broken window.
In a daze, Elma couldn't help but lean towards the warmer part of the bed--closer to Woodrow.
It was still not enough and even as she was already asleep, her body searched for the warmth. It moved closer and closer until it was satiated and she curled herself like a little beast.
In the middle of the night, he was awakened by Elma, who had snuggled into his arms.
It was a huge mistake as the soft girl in his arms immediately awakened his primal energy. Instantly, her blood rushed down to his aching manhood. It was already worse enough that he could barely control himself in her presence because he feels their mating connection. Having her so close like that could break his self-control and he might as well take her right then and there.
But he still endured, his hands dared not wander, afraid that he would not be able to control himself if he started.
He started thinking of other things other than her soft body. He thought of the gruesome parts of hunting of the unpleasant feeling of hunger and of the excruciating heat during the summer.
He forcefully suppressed his desire, only when the roosters in the village at the foot of the mountain had crowed a few rounds, did he fall asleep, successfully stopping himself from violating her.
Elma rubbed her sleepy eyes, her stomach felt uncomfortable due to something pressing against it. Suddenly, she opened her eyes wide when she realized where she was. She was lying on top of Woodrow, holding him tightly.
How on earth did she manage to climb atop him? How was it possible that she managed to embarrass herself not just once but twice?
Just as Elma moved to get off his body while he was still asleep, he opened his eyes wide, looking at her with a smirk, as if he was appraising a lascivious wolf.
"You say no with that pretty mouth, but your body is pretty honest," he said sleepily, his words making Elma bristle.
Seeing her face gradually turning red, even the roots of her ears were blushing, the smile in his eyes deepened. Seeing Elma flustered was just too much fun for him.
He planned to go to the market today to sell the fur and buy a couple of new bedsheets but now, having Elma hugging him is dangerously trying to change his mind. Having Elma might spoil his productivity but thinking about it, it might not be too bad.
The feeling of the soft young wife taking the initiative to hug him was... too wonderful.
Elma was scared by his wolf-like eyes, afraid of being devoured by him in broad daylight, she quickly got off him and shrunk into the corner, pulling the ragged quilt tightly around herself.
"I...I did not know how I got on top of you and I apologize for my actions. It seemed I have acted in my sleep last night. It was not my intention." She fired off her denial like a machine gun.
Woodrow's brows rose and a smile curved his lips slightly.
But then she felt him getting closer and closer to her on the bed until he was close enough that their breaths intertwined.
Elma desperately pushed against his chest with both hands. Was this guy about to lose control? Is he going to take advantage of her? But if that was his intention, he should have done so last night, when she was at her most vulnerable.
His hand wrapped around hers and squeezed it slightly.
"Little thing, I am your husband, I won't run away, don't worry. Once you have recovered, I will take care of you and ensure you are satisfied every day."
Heat covered her whole face.
"I...We agreed to wait until I turn 20 before we consummate the marriage," Elma hurriedly reminded him.
He stared at her, slowly got up, and got off the bed.
Seeing him getting up made Elma breathe a sigh of relief. This man seemed to remember the promise he made to her. Yes... a man who keeps his word is a good comrade.
"I was talking about food. But sure, we can also talk about me satisfying you in other ways..."
Elma's jaw dropped. Woodrow and his semantics are undefeated!
After saying that, he put on his broken straw shoes and left the house, a smirk playing on his lips. Elma, who was bursting with anger, watched his figure silently, her mind full of thoughts.
"Breakfast time,"
Suddenly, a rough voice interrupted her thoughts, and a scarred face came into her view. Woodrow placed a plate on the table. "What's with the sour face... want me to feed you?"
"No need." Elma quickly picked up the bowl and began to eat the porridge. The temperature was just right, it didn't scratch her throat like whole grains. It was not the most delicious thing but she was thankful for it. The food they give will give her nourishment and will aid her in her escape in the future.
"I'm going into town for a bit. Stay home, and if you recklessly run out and get taken by a wolf, don't blame me for not warning you," Woodrow said. She almost thought he read her mind.
While Elma was eating her porridge, he stood aside, with his arms crossed, towering above her and intimidating her.
Elma rolled her eyes in her mind, but on her face, she cheerfully replied, "Don't worry, even if I wanted to, I don't have the energy to run."
Seeing that Elma indeed don't have the energy to run, he said nothing more. Instead, he dragged a wooden box from under the bed, pulled out a key from his waistband, unlocked the box, and took out a wallet. He locked the box again and shoved it back under the bed.
Then he slammed the key and card a thump on the table. "This box contains my belongings. If I'm not at home and you need money, open the box and take what you need."
After saying this, he turned around, grabbed his bundle, and left.
Elma blinked and looked at what he just laid on the wallet. She realized he had already trusted her with his belongings after one night! only to be caught by Sean, who had brought her medicine.
Sean, who was standing by her door to give her her medicine saw what Woodrow had given Elma. When Woodrow was gone, he went inside and laid the medicine on the table.
The boy's face immediately darkened. After what he witnessed, he could only think that Woodrow was bewitched by the woman. Why else would his brother give something so important to her?
He put the medicine on the table huffily and glared at Elma, "I'm telling you, don't even think about escaping, or I'll break your legs."
Elma couldn't help but raise her brow. A seven-year-old child was threatening to break her legs. She couldn't stop wondering what else is interesting about the Cecil family.
How do they usually educate their younger siblings?
Elma laughed, speaking very gently to him, "Don't worry, I won't run away. If I did, without food and medicine, I'd surely die."
Sean didn't buy her sweet talk and glared at her even more. "You're a bad woman, I won't believe your lies. In any case, I will keep a close eye on you!"
