TWELVE The Creeper lurched through the winding tunnels and archways of its darkened labyrinthine enclave. It had feasted well on the carcass of one of his earlier victims, and afterwards it had slept for several hours. The visions and ghoulish nightmares which invaded the Creeper’s dreams would be horrific to most people, but to the Creeper, they were merely what it expected, and it had grown used to them over the years. In fact, because it had nothing else to compare them to, it was no longer disturbed or traumatised by them, as it had been during its early years.
