Although Quansett had its own fire station, post office, and public library, it shared a police force with the Town of Exmouth’s other three villages. Being the smallest and quietest beat, it generally drew the cop with least seniority (right now, Kevin Kelly).
Go south from Quansett and you’d come to West Exmouth, the biggest village, where the police station was. To its west was South Exmouth, to its east was North Exmouth. There was no East Exmouth.
Although its other cops rotated among the four villages, Exmouth had only two detectives, Pete Altman and Bob Scanlan, who took turns wherever a crime happened.
