Bradley immediately refused. “No, tonight I’m going back to the old manor for dinner. Stay home or go with your friends. I’ll take you some other time.”
Bethany pouted, pretending to be upset. “But it’s a couples’ restaurant. How can I go with someone else?”
As she spoke, she leaned in to kiss the corner of his lips. “If you’re busy tonight, then tomorrow night. I’ll wait for you no matter what.”
“But are you planning to take Elizabeth back to the old manor tonight?”
