His Surprise Daughter

“ Good morning Belle.” Ana says as I come down the stairs with a sleepy Leilani.

“ Good morning Ana. Where is everyone?”

“ Your Auntie and Paige’s Auntie are at the venue already. Everyone else is in their rooms eating breakfast and taking showers.”

“Leilani and I already ate and took our shower. So we are ready to go. How long do we have before the car arrives to pick us up?”

“ They will be here in a hour.”

“Alright I’m going to go talk with my grandma and sister.”

“ Okay and while you talk with them I will let everyone else know that the car will be here soon.”

As I walk up the stairs to the room my sister and grandma are staying in I start to feel nervous.

This is the first time that I will be alone with my grandma and sister since their arrival three days ago.

I tried to talk to them alone yesterday but the wedding rehearsal and the dinner had me preoccupied.

“ Grandma can I come in?” I say as I knock on the door

“ Yeah.”

I walk in the guest room to see my sister sitting on the bed beside my grandma.

“ How do you feel today?” Grandma asks

“ excited and nervous at the same time. When I was little I would always imagine what my wedding would be like and now that the day is here I can’t help but smile.” I’ve never been good at lying to my family but I know I have no choice. It would break my family’s heart to know the real reason I’m marrying Axel. And for that reason I will never tell them the truth.

“ Why didn’t you just tell mom and dad who the father of your baby was? If you would have just told them maybe things would have been different.” My sister says

“ I didn’t tell mom and dad who Leilani’s father was because I only knew his first name. And even if I did know his last name I probably still wouldn’t have told them. They wanted me to get ride of my baby regardless and I could never accept that. I’m happy that you guys are here but I have accepted what has happened to me and I’m trying to move on. I would really appreciate if you wouldn’t bring up this topic again.”

I walk out of the room with Leilani still sleeping in my arms. No matter how many times I talk about the incident that happened between me and my parents I still feel hurt.

Twenty minutes later the car arrives and picks us up.

“ I’m so excited to see what your wedding dress and reception dress look like.” Mia says

“ Me too.” Says my sister

“ Just know one dress is princess themed and the other is very sexy.” Paige says

“ Okay like how sexy are we talking?” Mia asks

“ You just have to wait and see.” Paige says

When we arrive at the wedding my auntie and Paige’s auntie are waiting outside for us.

“ Are the guys already here?” Ana asks

“ No, not yet.”

“ The hairstylist and the makeup artist are already in the room waiting for us.”

“ Okay great.”

We follow my auntie into the dressing room and start to hang our dresses up on the rack. Once we are all situated. The makeup artist and the hairstylist start working on all my bridesmaids.

“ Leilani bring mommy your bag so I can do your hair.” Leilani has beautiful long wavy hair so all I’m going to do is brush it and leave it down.

“ Zoe are you done doing Fay’s hair?”

“ Yeah. Mom said once we are done doing the girls hair she will put them in their dresses so we can get ready.”

I walk Leilani and Fay to the other side of the room where Ana and Jess are talking. Ana and Jess take the girls and start to dress them.

“ Belle hurry up and change into your robe so you can get your makeup and hair done.” Paige yells

After I put the robe on I sit in the chair and they start doing my hair. As I’m getting my hair done the girls are putting in their bridesmaids dresses.

“Ladies.” Jess yells and all of her heads turn toward her.

“ Now that I have everyone’s attention. Let me introduce princess Leilani and Princess Fay.”

Ana comes out holding both girls hands and I feel my eyes water.

“ you two look so beautiful.”

“ thank you.” They both say. Leilani runs to me and yells “ mommy daddy.”

I grab my phone and FaceTime Axel. But before he can answer it I hand it off to Leilani and she goes sit by Ana.

“ Isabelle.” I hear Axel say

“ Daddy.”

“ Hi Princess. You look very pretty.”

“ Daddy see.”

“ Leilani you want daddy to come and get you before the ceremony?”

Leilani shakes her head.

“ Okay Princess I will be down to get you in an hour. Give the phone back to mommy.”

Before Leilani could move Ana grabs the phone from her.

“ Axel you can not see Belle right now.”

“ Mom are you serious.”

“ Bye Axel.” Ana says then hangs up the phone.

All the girls are laughing at that whole conversation.

“ Alright Belle you are all done.” The makeup artist turns me around so I am now facing a mirror. My hair is left naturally wavy down my back. My makeup is very elegant and neutral colors with a little glitter.

“ Paige and Zoe I’m ready to put in my dress.”

Everyone is dressed and ready by me. As the girls are helping me on my wedding dress there’s a knock at the door.

“ Jess can you take Leilani to the door so her dad can take her.”

“ come on Leilani.” I hear the door open then close.

After I get my wedding dress on I put on my flower crown followed by jewelry and then my heels

“ Ladies it’s time to head out.” Ana yells.

As I’m following Ana down the hall I feel so many emotions running through me. I feel happy because I’m getting married. I feel sad because I know Axel doesn’t love me. I just feel very overwhelmed.

“ How you feeling Belle?” I hear my uncle ask as he is getting in position to walk me down the isle.

“ Overwhelmed.”

“ Just take some deep breaths Belle. I will be right there with you.”

The music for the flower girls to walk down the isle start to play followed by the bridesmaids and the groomsmen.

The curtains are closed back up and my uncle leads me to the opening. The song Can’t Help Falling in Love by Haley Reinhart starts to play.

“Just remember deep breaths.”

The curtains open back up to reveal Axel standing at the end of the isle wearing a beautiful champagne suite with a pink tie on.

My eyes never leave Axel’s as my uncle walks me down the isle.

“ Who gives this Woman to be married to this man?”

“ I do.” My uncle kisses my forehead and shakes Axel’s hand

The minister goes on to do the rest of the ceremony. When the minister tells us to recite our vows I give my bouquet to my maid of honor which is Paige and then I place my hands in Axel’s. We weren’t going to write our own vows but we did to please Axel’s parents.

Axel went first in reciting his vows “ Isabelle you and our daughter are my everything. Two years ago you decided to have our daughter even though you knew you were alone and for that I thank you. Because of your strength and your will to fight we are here today.So today I stand before our friends and family ready to declare these promises. I will always be there to protect both of you. I promise that you will always find shelter in my arms and a home in my heart. I promise to always be dependable and loyal and give you everything I got. I promise to always put you and our daughter first. These are the promises that I give you today and all the days of our life.”

As I stare into his eyes all I can see is him being honest. I’m starting to fall in love with Axel all over again.

“ Axel, three years ago you captured my heart by being exactly who you are. You Are the most compassionate and loyal person I know. We have been through a lot together but in the end we still manage to always be there for each other. I promise you that no matter what I will always be there for you. I promise to love you through the good times and the bad. But most importantly I promise you I will be the best wife and mother I can be. Forever and always your wife.”

We exchange rings and then the minister declares us husband and wife.

“ You may kiss the bride.”

Axel takes my face in his hands and kiss me. Everyone around us us cheering. Axel breaks away and grabs our daughter.

When everyone exits the room we head to take photos. It takes about forty minutes for the photographer to get all the photos.

We enter the venue and head toward the reception the groomsmen and the bridesmaids walk out first to the song Happy by Pharrell Williams. Then they introduce us as Mr and Mrs. Chambers and we walk into the beautiful reception hall.

The rest of the wedding went by smoothly. I changed into my wedding reception dress after Axel’s and I’s first dance. Then I dance with my uncle and we have dinner and cake.

At the end of the wedding Axel and I kiss Leilani goodbye and our family’s say their farewells.

I’m excited to go on our honeymoon but I’m also scared. I’m scared that by the end of the honeymoon I will develop feelings for Axel all over again.
