I Do

The next day I wake up early to pack up all of our stuff up. Paige helps me get everything in order before Axel arrives.

Exactly at noon there is a knock on the door. I open it and in walks Axel.

“ Everything packed and ready to go.”

“ Yes.”

Axel loads everything into his car. I say goodbye to Paige and we head to our new home.

“ Hey before we get to my house I want you to know my mom and dad are there. My mom is very excited to meet you and so is my dad. They know nothing about the contract and I want to keep it that way. So we must pretend to love each other whenever my family is around.”

“ Got it.”

“ They also know we are getting married and my mom wants to help you plan it.”

“ Oh we are having a real wedding not a court house wedding .”

“Yeah my parents would never allow a court wedding.”

“ I need to go and pick up my car tomorrow.”

“ No we don’t. I’m buying you a new one.”

“ No Axel.”he rolls his eyes and we pull into the driveway of his house. I open the the backseat car door to see that Aria is asleep. I pick her up and we head into the house.

Once we enter the house we head straight for the living room. In the living is his mom, dad, Zoe, and Fay.

His mom immediately gets up from the couch and heads straight for us.

“Oh your so tiny compared to him. Hi my name is Ana I’m Axel’s mom and you must be Belle.”

“ It’s nice to meet you. I was trying to keep Leilani awake so she could meet you, but she fell asleep.”

“ Oh its okay Axel said she usually takes a nap around this time. He also said that you wake her up in an hour and we will probably still be here.”

“ If you want I can take her upstairs why you guys talk.” Zoe says

“ yeah that will be fine.” Zoe gets up and I give her Leilani . Once Zoe, Leilani and Fay leave, Axel and I walk over to the couch across from the couch Axel’s parents are siting on.

“ what’s Leilani’s full name?” Ana asks

“ It’s Leilani Lua Paige Chambers.” Her last name isn’t chambers yet but we will change it.

“ What does her name come from?” Axel asks

“It’s Hawaiian.”

“ So my son tells me you agreed to marry him. Have you come up with date when you want to get married?”

“ We we’re thinking May 16.”

“Axel that’s so soon. That’s barely a month away. We would have to start doing the wedding planning tomorrow and get your photos taken for the wedding invitations.”

“ I’m sure mom you can handle it.”

“ Do you mind if we start the wedding planning tomorrow Belle?”

“ No that’s not a problem at all.”

“ Okay great. I will come over early in the morning so we can start. I know it’s only three in the afternoon and I would love to start today but I don’t have my book with me to write things down.”

I look at my phone to see if I got a text from Paige but it’s a text from her mom. I also notice it’s time for me to get Leilani up“ I’ll be back I didn’t now how late it is. I need to go wake Leilani up.”

“ okay dear.”

“ before we do that come outside with me real quick.” I nod my head and follow Axel outside.

“Your parents are really nice.” I say once we make it outside.

“ Lets step in front of the car I know they are watching from the window.” When we get in front of the car Axle pulls out a black velvet box from his pants “ I meant to give you this before we walked into the house earlier but here’s your ring.” He opens the box and a beautiful diamond three stone ring appears.

“ Axel this is too much.” He ignores me and puts the ring on my ring finger he then laces our fingers together and we walk back to the front door. I want to ask him what he thinks he is doing but I see his parents are literally standing right there in the doorway.

“ Dad can you tell Lydia to get the bags from the car.”

“ yeah.” With our fingers still interlaced he leads me up the stairs to a different room then before.

“ where are we going?”

“ to our daughter’s room.” Axel walks all the way to the end of the hall then he opens the door to the left. When I enter the room it’s like I’m walking into a fairytale. I walk to Leilani and gently wake her up she does the same thing she always does she sits up and lifts her arms. I’m about to get her when Axel stops me.

“ I got her.” He picks her up then he interlaces our hands again as we head downstairs.

“ Daddy juice.” The moment she calls him daddy he gets the goofiest smile on his face and says “ whatever you want princess.”

After we go downstairs we head to the other side of the house where the kitchen is located.

“ y’all are such a cute family. Don’t you think so Ace.”

“ Yes Ana I think they look wonderful.” I don’t know what to say to that so I just smile.

Axel goes to the refrigerator and gets a juice pouch. He then sits Aria on top of the kitchen island and hands her the juice.

“ what you say princess?” I ask Leilani

“ Thank you.”

“ wow she is very advanced for a two year old from what I can tell. But Axel says your nineteen and your already in med school.”

“ Um yeah I graduated college early.”

“ Dear that’s wonderful”

“ thank you.”

Axel’s parents stayed for three more hours. They played with Leilani and then we watched a movie together. When they left we ate dinner and watched a couple more movies.

When I check my phone I see that it’s going on 9:30pm. I pick Leilani up and ask Axel to bring her box labeled books and one of her suitcases.

Once we are on our side of the house Axel shows me the bathroom so I can wash Leilani up. After I wash her up I put on her pajamas and I go lay in her big bed with her. I grab the first book that was in the box and I read to her. A few minutes into the book I see she is fast asleep.

When I put the book up I follow Axel out of her room and I follow him to what I think is my room.

“ is this my room?”

“ no it’s our room.”

“I thought you were joking when you said you expect me to do everything a real wife would do especially with Chloe still in the picture.”

“ no I was completely serious and one thing a real wife does is share her bed with her husband.” I’m tired and I don’t feel like arguing so I go into the bathroom and search for my pajamas. If I have to be honest I usually just sleep in my underwear and bra but I’m not going to do that. So I put on a pair of shorts and I hate sleeping in shirts so I just put a sports bra over my real bra.

I walk out of the bathroom and get into the bed. Once I’m in bed I feel an arm go around my waist.

“ Axel.”

“ Just be quiet and go to sleep.” Again to tired to protest I close my eyes and go to sleep.

I wake up to voices trying to whisper. When I open my eyes I notice two things. The first thing is my head is on Axel’s chest and my leg is curled onto his hip. The second thing is his mom and sister are taking photos of us.

“ Mom and Zoe can you please wake up Leilani up and fix her breakfast.”

“ yes of course.” With that they both leave the room.

I get up and walk in the bathroom. When I get out the shower I open the bathroom door and walk out in my towel because I forgot my clothes. As I’m looking for my clothes I feel two big hands grab my waist and turn me around.

“ Axel I swear I will punch you if you don’t let go. Go find Chloe or something.”

He let’s go and I grab my clothes as I grab my clothes Axel says “ when you get out from putting your clothes on I will hop in the shower then I will head to work. While you and my mom do wedding stuff.”

Once my clothes are on I head downstairs to the sound of voices in the dining room.

“ Grandma banana.” I smile knowing that Aria now has two grandmas that love her.

“ Hi Princess are you hanging out with grandma and auntie Zoe.”

“ Hi mommy.”

“ yeah we’re having a great time. Are you ready to talk about wedding planning?” Ana asks

“ yeah my best friend Paige should be arriving soon to help as well ” I don’t really care about this wedding since it’s fake but Axel’s mom seems very excited about it and I genuinely like her. We all sit around the dining table and Ana brings out her book.

“ so let’s start off with do you have a theme or a color?”

“ For the theme I want an elegant princess theme. So ivory, gold, beige, dusty pink and a light pink maybe.” Even though I don’t care about this wedding I still want it to be nice for not only me but for Aria.

“ That theme will be really pretty with those colors ” Paige says as she enters the dining room. I get up and give her a hug. Once we hug each other I introduce Paige to Ana, Zoe, and Fay.

“ Now that we have the theme let’s talk about who will be your maid of honor and if your want a matron of honor?” Ana asks

“ well Paige will be maid of honor and Zoe if she wants will be matron of honor.”

“ I would love to be your matron of honor.”

After we get done talking about the theme. We start talking about bridesmaids and who Axel might have as groomsmen.While we are talking about wedding invitations I feel someone’s hand cover my eyes.

I immediately know that it’s Axel because of the smell of his cologne. “ What are you doing?”

“ I have a surprise for you. Now I’m going to remove my hand from your eyes but I want you to keep your eye closed. I will guide you to your surprise but you have to listen to me.” I was about to say something snarky but then I remember that it’s not just us in the room.

“ okay.” I get up from the chair and I feel Axel grab both of my hands. He leads me through the house and then outside I think.

“ okay we are going down steps so I will tell you when to step. Okay step down now take another step, and then another step and this is the last step. Alright move a little to the left. Now open your eyes.”

When I open my eyes I see a white Mercedes G wagon. I go to open the car door and inside is black leather seats with a light pink car seat in the back.

I go and give Axel a hug. As I’m hugging Axel I whisper “ I told you no.” We pull away from the hug and all he does is give this devilish smirk that makes me want to hit him.

“ Axel this is such a beautiful gift.” Ana says

“ Who dropped the car off if you drove your car?” Zoe asks

“ I had it sent here. I just came home for the car and now I’m headed back to work.” Axel waves goodbye and gets into his car.

“ we should go dress shopping today so the alterations will be done in time.” Ana says

“ okay sure.” Paige and Aria ride with me while Ana and Fay ride with Zoe.

We get to the dress shop and the first thing we look for are bridesmaids dresses. “ Do you have an idea on who your bridesmaids will be other than Paige and Zoe?”

“ I have my sister, two of my cousins, Paige cousin and a friend from college. So in total seven.” After I left Texas I wrote letters to everyone in my family explaining the situation. I also gave them my phone number and my address. Surprisingly a lot of my family apologized to me for what they did. The only people that I’m really close to in my family that has reached out is my grandma, my grandpa, my uncle and his whole family, and my little sister. My little sister sends letters to me through our grandparents since my parents don’t allow any contact. I plan on inviting everyone that has apologized and that has reached out to me to the wedding despite it being fake.

“ oh that’s wonderful amount. What color do you want the bridesmaids dresses to be?”

“ I want the color to be a blush pink but I would like my sister, Paige, and Zoe to have different bridesmaid dresses.”

“ okay let’s spread out and then come back together in ten minutes.” Ana says

As I’m looking at dresses I’m asking Leilani for her opinion. I found a dress that I didn’t know if I like it or not and I ask Aria to pick and she said no. I found three dresses that I like. When we come back together Paige found two, Zoe found two and Ana found four.

Paige and Zoe split up the dresses and they go try them on. When they try on the first two dresses I did not like them and so they move on to the next dresses. It went on like this until I found two dresses that are similar yet differs that I like.

Once the bridesmaids dresses are picked out we move to the flower girls dress. The flower girls will be Fay and Aria. It took no time finding their dress.

Then it became the time for me to find my wedding dress. I try on about ten dresses that neither I nor the girls like. So we asked for help I told the woman my wedding theme and she picked out five dresses for me to try on. On the third dress that I try on I feel in love with it.

“ You look like a queen Belle.” Says Paige

“ Truly beautiful. Put on the crown so you can see what it looks like.” Says Ana

The woman puts the crown on my head and I look in the mirror. I feel my eyes Well up in tears. Not because I’m happy but because I’m sad. This is the dress I would pick if I was marrying someone I love but instead I’m marrying someone by force. I quickly bat the tears away.

“ I chose this dress.”

After we get our dresses fitted we head home. Right when we get home Paige and Ana both leave.

Aria didn’t get her nap in today so she is pretty sleepy. Zoe and I fix dinner for the girls then we take them to their rooms.

It’s around 8:00pm when Aria goes to sleep. I kiss her goodnight and walk to my room. When I get in my room I see that Axel isn’t back yet. So I put on my pajamas and slip into bed.
