What a Big Tiger

1388 Words
This is one of the largest forests on the Holy Demon Continent, known as the Dark Forest of No Return. Kao, the Demonic Flame Flying Tiger, a Dark Demon of the Upper Ninth Rank, reigns supreme within a hundred-kilometer radius. Here, he is king, and all demons are under his rule. One day, he had just devoured a Violent Tusked Pig and was savoring its chewy, sturdy texture when he heard a distant thud, as if something had crashed to the ground. Intrigued, he stood up and ran in that direction. A human appeared before him, with black hair and yellow skin. His clothes were tattered, but his skin was untouched by any wounds. Kao wondered what a human tasted like. Old Bear said it was quite good. Old Bear was his neighbor, a Demonic Pattern Ice Claw Black Bear, also an Upper Ninth Rank demon. When he'd visited the old bear before, he'd heard it say that humans were incredibly delicious. He'd always wanted to try them, but no one had come, so he'd always felt bad. Now that a human had arrived, why should he be polite? He opened his mouth wide, facing the human's head. Yoshua didn't know when a drop of fishy-smelling water landed on his face, startling him awake. He opened his eyes and saw a fluffy black tiger head, its maw gaping wide, biting him. The water dripping on his face was the tiger's saliva! Frightened, he immediately punched out, sending Kaolidos flying, then jumped to his feet. This was an unexpected disaster! Kao had never expected this human to wake up so suddenly, and the result was a punch to the tiger's face. Not only was it painful, but it was also humiliating. He'd been knocked back by a human. If word got out, the other demons would surely laugh to death. With a furious roar, he lunged at Yoshua. Yoshua looked at Kao. This tiger definitely wasn't from Earth. There weren't any black tigers, but even if there were, they couldn't have wings. It seemed like he'd been transported to this strange place by that explosion. An alien world? It looked like he'd traveled through time. What a load of crap! Feeling incredibly bad, he kicked the charging Kao Lidos, sending it flying. Kao felt a sharp pain. This human was more formidable than him, at least far more powerful. Unwilling to engage in close combat, he opened his mouth and a stream of black flame shot towards Yoshua, igniting the dead leaves and trees in its path. Yoshua smiled softly. Dark energy? He had his own flames, and not just any flames, but flames! A massive, crimson flame he could generate! With a wave of his hand, a shield enveloped the incoming black flames. He smiled and suddenly threw the shields, each shrouded in black flames, toward Kao. Kao's intuition was quite good, and he instinctively anticipated the immense power of the attack, so he didn't dare to take it, leaping aside with all his might. However, he still underestimated the situation. The violent explosion created a massive blast that launched him upward, sending him crashing hard into a massive tree, causing him to wail in pain. At this moment, his heart was filled with fear. This man was truly terrifying, but along with that fear came a ferocity. He slowly stood up and looked at Yoshua, who was observing him with considerable interest. A surge of magical energy surged within him, and the surrounding magical elements suddenly mutated and converged upon him, generating immense momentum and force. Yoshua was astonished. This tiger was truly formidable. Not only was it enormous, but judging by the move it was preparing, it must be quite powerful. He suddenly considered taking it as a mount. It would be nice to have such a majestic creature to ride with. He decided to take the tiger's move and subdue it. This was Kao's ultimate move, the Tiger King Dark Beam. With a wide opening, a twenty-centimeter black beam erupted from Kao's mouth, blasting towards Yoshua. Yoshua estimated the beam's power; it would require nine times the power of Tai to withstand it. It seemed the tiger was quite powerful. He gathered Tai power and energy in front of him, forming a circular shield about thirty centimeters in diameter, to meet the Tiger King Dark Beam. Yoshua was well aware of the importance of utilization. If the shield was too large, the power would be dispersed, resulting in reduced defense. If the power was concentrated, defense would be enhanced. The beam arrived with astonishing momentum, colliding with the shield. A tremendous force emanated from the shield, and Yoshua's stiff arms felt as if they were about to break. The shield's thickness was reduced to a quarter, and he was knocked back by the immense force. His feet scratched two deep marks on the ground, and he finally crashed into a tree. The immense recoil made him feel extremely uncomfortable. Just as the shield was about to disappear, the Tiger King Dark Beam finally ended. Kao stared in amazement as Yoshua stood up unharmed and walked towards him. This moment was truly terrifying. This tattered man was so powerful that he could withstand the Tiger King Dark Beam he had launched with all his strength. This move had almost exhausted his magic power, leaving him unable to launch any more magical attacks. But he was no match for him in close combat. Was he going to die? He bared his teeth in defiance, exerting his full strength at the approaching Yoshua. Yoshua was deeply pleased and delighted. He activated his Tai Power, instantly sending a tremendous force towards Kao. Kao, having lost all his magical power, collapsed to the ground in excruciating pain, yet he stubbornly tried to stand up. Yoshua's power intensified again, and he smiled, "Do you understand me? If so, blink twice." Kao blinked with difficulty, and Yoshua nodded. "That's good. I've just arrived here, and walking is too tiring. So, you can be my mount, how about that?" Kao was furious. How dare you let me, the powerful Kao, be his mount? He gave Yoshua a labored, weak cry, clearly showing his immense strength and distress. Yoshua increased his strength again and said with a smile, "Don't agree? Think carefully. If you don't agree, you'll die. If you agree, you can live. Would you rather die for that little bit of tiger dignity, or give up that meaningless dignity and live?" Kao initially persisted, but as his power grew, the shadow of death gradually loomed, and the fear in his heart began to spread. Finally, he could no longer resist the fear of death. With a whimpering sound in his heart and pleading in his eyes, he surrendered. Yoshua laughed heartily and withdrew his aura. As the immense force faded, Kao suddenly felt relaxed. It felt so good to be alive. Yoshua looked at his enormous size and frowned, "Can you get smaller?" Kao nodded, slowly shrinking his head until it reached Yoshua's waist. He stopped and rubbed his head against his scalp, trying to please him. Yoshua laughed heartily and said, "You're such a clever fellow! From now on, you're Big Head! Go catch one, I'm going to roast it." Kao—no, Big Head—though deeply displeased with the name, couldn't protest, since he was the weaker one. He nodded resignedly and disappeared behind a tree. Yoshua gathered some dead branches. Not long after, Big Head returned with a spotted deer in his mouth. Yoshua praised Big Head, then skinned the deer, gutted it, and washed it with mineral water from his soul realm. He strung the deer with branches, placed it over the fire, and began to roast it. As he continued to sprinkle spices and other things on it, the aroma grew stronger. Big Head lay nearby, his eyes fixed on the roasted deer, his mouth watering. Yoshua tore off a strip of deer and threw the rest to Datou. Watching him wolf down the food, Yoshua laughed heartily. "How's it? It's delicious, isn't it? It's right to follow me, isn't it?" Datou thought to himself, "Even if you chase me away, I won't leave. This is too good! I've never eaten anything so delicious." Darkness fell.
