Nineteenth Chapter

Alexander's POV

I feel her...I feel her skin against me and because of that, I have the strength to open my eyes. Even if she is the cruelest and evil witch...I still love her no matter what and I can't help myself. 

I feel how I got better from that time when I first saw her. 

I don't know what day it is or what time but I need to collect all my strength to stand up and see how everything is going. Oh god, I even forgot about Eveline and Zachary and others! How are they? 

I opened my eyes and slowly stood on my left elbow. I was very slim and pale...god help me.

My arms were shaking and feet didn't listen, when I wanted to stand up on them I fell. 

"Argh!" I groaned in pain, I was skin to bones, it was like I could fall apart in that second! I wanted to stand up but whole my body didn't listen to me so I kept lying there.

Hopefully, after moments I heard someone entering my room. I heard indistinctly chattering and then someone's feet approaching.

"A-a-ah!!! Oh...Oh my god!" I know this voice, is it Maeve?

"Call Zach! GO!" said Eric who was already helping me stand up. I saw how Maeve ran into the hallway and then Eric helped me sat on the edge of the bed.

"What a hell man!? Are you out of your mind?" Eric glared at me.

I coughed, "I am okay..." 

"Oh! I see that! You are pale as death and thin as a stick! You should've stayed in the bed for god's sake!" he pointed at me angrily.

"How...how long I was out?" I asked him trying not to collapse on the bed.

He turned serious and said, "Two weeks approximately if not three..." 

"Three...weeks? I have been sleeping for thr-three we-weeks?" This thought makes me even dizzier.

Eric looked away nodding. I furrowed my eyebrows and said, "Th-the last thing...The last thing I remember is...I was talking to Zachary...and I was emotionally unstable...and then everything went dark...Eric, I can't take this anymore" I said looking directly at him but he avoided looking at me until I took his shoulders and said, "Eric! I can't! I-I CAN'T! ah..mhmh" I sobbed. Yes, I cried, and I am not ashamed of it because I went through so much misery that I just can't take this anymore.

"I understand Alex...I understand." My hands dropped and he hugged me by the shoulders.

While I was in his hug I didn't notice how I dozed off.

Zachary's POV

I was on the roof with Eveline. After everything that happened the roof became our spot. She and I came here to think or to be alone.

God, she is so beautiful right now. She was in her silky short dress and her hair was blowing because of the wind.

"Zachary..." she called me after whole twenty minutes since we came.

"Yeah?" we both looked at each other. Her expression was sad and broken.

"Will I lose myself? If...If Mirena gonna become stronger?" she asked me looking in the forest.

"You are stronger than you think. You are a fighter, remember that" I said to her trying to cheer her up.

She nodded and closed her eyes inhaling deeply.

We were standing there for some time until we heard loud knocking on the other side of the door.

"Who the hell is that?" she asked looking at the banging door.

"Hold my hand" I took her hand into mine and teleported us inside.

Here was standing worried and shocked Maeve. Eveline came closer to her and asked her immediately, "What's wrong?" 

"A-Alex, he is awake!" After these words, my mind just turned off. I was shocked and happy at the same time.

I took both ladies by their shoulders and we teleported into Alex's bedroom.

"Wow!" Maeve exclaimed probably not expecting my actions while Eveline ran to the sitting Eric and sleeping, Alex. "Liars! He is still sleeping!" I shouted at standing in front of me Maeve.

"Hey! Relax." Eric growled at me turning his inner beast by changing his eye color. I growled back saying, "Why the heck you told us that he is awake?" 

Eric rubbed his temples standing up from the bed and making his way to Maeve, "He dozed off, he is too weak, he can't even stand still" he replied looking one time at me and other at Eve.

He hugged Maeve and kissed her forehead while we were looking at Alex.

Eveline cautiously came near Alex and slowly sat on his bed.

It's been three days since he called her 'Mirena' and after that, she didn't even come to check him because she was too scared that he would say this again.

Her eyes were sad and I saw how she was shaking, I think everyone saw this because no one could say anything.

She sat on the bed and very cautiously removed the tip of his hair from his forehead. She whispered something and he started to wake up.

She furiously stood up like this never happened and went behind my back while I took a step forward.

"Mmh..." He opened his green eyes...god knows how I missed my little brother.

I helped him sit up and when he finally opened his eyes and saw me I hugged him.

"Zachary..." he whispered hugging me back.

"I missed you, little brother," I said, patting his back and when I did this, I felt his spine. Only the thought of this is breaking my heart. 

"Alex...don't stand from this bed, do you hear me? Don't f***ing move, I will tell servants that you are awake and they will bring you some food and nutrition for rehab" I said looking directly into his eyes.

"Okay..." he replied under my hard look.

Maeve came a little closer and hugged Alex saying, "We are glad that you came back" He just nodded, and then his eyes fell on her. All that said Eric was true. Mirena is back. There was no Eveline's face only Mirena's. She had that her signature evil smirk on and her eyes were glowing as always.

"Missed me, guys" she laughed taking a graciously step forward. I came between her and Alex., stopping her.

"Get.Out.Of.My.Way." 

"Not a chance, Mirena" I replied to her and I saw her she wanted to attack me but couldn't and instead she just smiled.

"As you all can see, this poor girl isn't that powerful and strong to defeat me" she laughed, walking side to side.

"Shut up, b***h" said Maeve who was holding herself from shifting.

"ooooh, someone's got bad mouth huh?" she glared making Maeve growl and shift but hopefully Eric prevailed her from doing this. 

Mirena laughed, "it's really funny to look at you all from my point of view, I will get what I want, and you all know this, especially you Lex." Mirena used to call Alexander - Lex, she thought that this is the perfect name for a king.

"Eveline, if you hear me, please keep fighting," I said looking pleadingly at Mirena who was laughing.

"Oh, Zach, Zach, Zach, you don't lose hope as always, b-but AH!!!" Mirena couldn't finish the sentence as she fell on the floor holding her temples from pain.

"AHHHHHH!!!!! IT'S N-NOT THE END" she screamed and abruptly stopped.

We all looked at her and saw how her hair and face is changing.

"Eveline" I kneeled near her and hugged her.

"wh-what?" she asked, rubbing her eyes.

"You kept fighting...told you" I smiled at her.

"so, is that b***h gone?" Maeve asked.

Alex shook his head saying, "She never give up so easily...Next time she will be twice stronger and more powerful..."
