Fifteenth Chapter

Eveline's POV

I didn't sleep this night and it's already early morning. How could I sleep after seeing this weird dream or...was it even a dream? 

"Hello dear, how are you feeling today?" asked Vennie.

"I-I...I feel one time cold and other time hot..." I said the truth.

"Hmh..." she checked my eyes and pressure.

"Darling, you didn't shift yet, right?" she asked looking shocked.

"Um...not yet...Is there is a problem?" I asked feeling kinda nervous.

"No...um...It's just...only dragon shifters are late-bloomers, they shift in their late nineteens or twenty-ones," she said, narrowing her eyes at me.

I gulped nervously, and I felt how my body started trembling, "what that supposed to mean?" I asked smiling nervously.

"Darling...gonna say this straight...there are two possibilities, maybe you are dragon shifter somehow or..."

she stuttered.

"Or, what?" I barked at her.

"Or you are not a shifter at all"

After her words, my mind just turned off. There were so many questions in my mind that I couldn't answer and it made me go insane.

"I can't...I need to get out of here...Sorry" I quickly stood up and ran to my room. 

I am not a shifter? What? How it can be? And what about my eyes and parents? I need my answers and the only place where I can find them is, in the forest.

When I came into the place where I met Rosie I became looking around and calling her, hoping she is here.

"Rosie! Rosie! Please...Are you here?" I shouted but no one was there but then I felt someone's presence. I turned around and there she was standing near the wood.

"Rosie!" I smiled genuinely and ran to her for a hug.

"Child, what's wrong?" she hugged me and stroked my hair.

"I am getting insane from this shit..." I whimpered.

"Shh...I understand I understand...you came for answers...isn't it right?" she chuckled.

"how..." she interrupted me.

"I know you better than you think" I couldn't see her face but I knew she was smiling.

"I will try to answer them," she said and I recoiled from her sitting on the wet grass after the rain.

"I don't know anything...I-I just want to know who the heck I am and where I came from?" I closed my eyes feeling tears coming out and when I opened them, I saw how Rosie's face was sad and painful.

"Do you know about the Royal family?" she asked, looking in the sky.

"Yes...They died during the attack and only Ernest and his son survived" I said.

"No..." she looked at me in the eyes.

"Not only Ernest and Alexander survived...you know" she whispered last words.

I shook my head slowly while looking into her eyes.

"You know who else survived from the Royal family, Eveline.." she said my name differently this time...it was something special when she said it.

"What are you talking about, Rosie?" I asked her and I noticed that my hands were trembling.

"Who else survived after the attack? The true heir of the Royal family...Eveline" she asked me, her eyes were red and I could see how she held her tears.

"I-I don't...I don't know" I said and I felt how my eyes glowed.

"It's too soon then..." with these words she stood up and went into the woods.

"wait! No! I need my answers! Rosie!" I ran to her but she already disappeared from my sigh like...she didn't even was here.

"F**k!" after saying this I ran back to the castle. 

Where else I can find answers?

When I was about to enter the castle someone from behind called for me.

"Hello, sweetheart" oh this husky voice. I turned around to see none other than Dominic.

"Dominic?" I rose my left eyebrow.

"Not happy to see me?" he asked, putting his devilish smirk.

"no, no, happy, just rough day," I said feeling tired.

"wanna talk about it?" he asked, putting his hand in the pockets.

"uh...I was about to visit Alexander...can we talk later?" I said awkwardly.

"Cool, how about tonight?" oh my god, this guy really not giving up.

I chuckled "date?" 

"uhuh, so is it yes?" he smirked, ruffling his hair and biting his lower lip.

I laughed at him and turned around to open the door. When I was about to enter he screamed.

"I will be in front of your door at 9 pm!" I smiled and went inside.

I went upstairs and these stairs gave me deja vu because of yesterday's dream.

Relax Eveline...It was not real...It was not real...

When I was near Alexanders' room, I knocked but nobody opened the door so I decided to enter.

I entered the room and there were so many gifts and flowers on the table...everyone misses their king.

I came in front of the bed and sat on his left side.

"Hey.." I whispered.

"How are you doing, asshole?" I chuckled and then my eyes betrayed me...my tears escaped the eyes and I sobbed.

"I miss you, jerk...please, come back to me," I said, and when I touched his hand I saw a little boy who was holding a little baby girl...this boy and baby were from my dream! Boy was holding her and singing a song,

"I will protect you, my little girl. Sleep tight and do not be scared. Demons will run cause I will be near. You will have good dreams cause your brother will be with you. I will be holding you tight. You are my sister and I am your brother who will protect you from all the monsters under your bed...sleep tight my little queen."

This is what he sang...and then I gasped when my sigh came back. I nervously looked around...What a f**k is going on? Who are this boy and baby!? Why the heck I feel like I know them!? 

I caressed Alexander's cheek and whispered "When you will wake up, I will be with you and we will deal with this b***h together" I sobbed while looking at him.

And in that second he moved his fingers. I felt it because his hand was in mine and I looked at him confused and I hoped with all my heart that he will wake up now but...

Alexander barely opened his eyes and whispered very very quietly, "Mirena..." this is the only word he said after blacking-out again.

I looked at him confused and then recoiled because of fear.

Did he think that I am Mirena? Is everything getting worse?
