/Few moments earlier/
I used my gift to find Eveline's house and her. My gift is to read minds, but I can also see memories of people, but I burn too much energy for that. But it is worth this. I saw a memory of grocery security who saw Eveline running into the small house separated from other houses.
Orange sunset rays touched the house making it look really beautiful as I entered the porch yard. When I was near the doors I heard a nonchalant conversation of two people and then I heard a man's scream as I stormed into the house.
"Argh!" I gasped and closed my eyes at the electro-purple light that went like a light wave through the house making someone's body fly away to the near wall and falling on the ground fatally.
