Twenty-first Chapter

Eveline's POV

I looked at both guys and felt embarrassed...Holy s**t! I feel so dirty and oh my god...How could I even do such a thing? Oh my...This is why Eric was acting weird that day...he remembers because he was there when we got wasted with Maeve...shit, s**t, shit...I wonder if Zachary knew?

I gulped and bit my lip, "What...what I did that night? Alexander?" I whispered, looking directly into his eyes.

He exhaled in frustration and it was like he was thinking should he tell or not and then Zachary briefly touched my shoulder, giving me a slight nod with a smile. His touch and smile make me warm and all my sadness just disappears when I see these silly expressions...but I don't know what I feel towards him. Everyone says that we look amazing together but...Am I feel right about this?

"Eveline, you didn't do anything you should be ashamed of. It was nothing...really" said Alexander who wanted shrug it off but I won't. I want to know what I did and learn my lesson from it.

"I will decide whether it is important or not," I said and he flinched slightly, looking at me with curiosity and shock. They both looked at me with this weird expressions. Zachary furrowed his eyebrows and narrowed his eyes while Alexander was standing dumbfounded. Shit...How can I control these commands? I never felt so highly of myself it felt so right that I commanded and I somehow knew that they should obey...to me.

He deeply inhaled and said, "If you want so...I...I...you...y-you" he stuttered and cleared his throat not knowing where to start or how to say everything.

After his many tries of finding proper words, he finally said, "You...you were wasted badly and you weren't yourself. Eric took care of Maeve and I wanted to walk you to your bedroom...just walk you to the bedroom, nothing else I swear!" He said with widened eyes and I glanced at Zachary who was clutching his fists. 

I felt so mad knowing Alexander didn't want me but seeing jealous Zachary is priceless.

I looked away after hearing his last words, "You pushed me to your bed and...." He wanted to continue but he couldn't say it in front of Zachary he was holding himself from shifting.

"Eveline, please meet me in my room after studies," he said making a pleading look. I looked at Zachary and then at Alexander. "Okay." I nodded and Zachary groaned taking me by the elbow and teleporting to the roof. WHAT THE HECK!? 

It all happened so fast that I couldn't focus on the image in front of me. Zachary was standing a meter away from me, he was angry as a demon...his eyes were glowing icy blue and fangs were very long and sharp but somehow I wasn't scared. 

I came closer to him and touched his cheek.

"Zachary" I whispered looking into his icy eyes.

He growled but didn't remove my hand.

"I am sorry..." I said feeling guilty for what I did that night...but not only for that night, for everything! For having problems with him and his brother...and all this thing with Mirena...

While looking at him I felt how tear escaped my eye and dropped on the ground. When Zachary saw this his expression changed momentarily. His face became normal and he hugged me very tightly apologizing.

"I am sorry, Eve. Don't cry, please, it wasn't your fault" I nuzzled my nose to his chest and suddenly began sobbing loudly. What's the matter with me? I just felt so vulnerable with him and I wasn't scared to show my emotions around him...This is what I like in Zachary, he won't judge you for who you are...

"I am a mess, Zachary! I am such a mess!" I screamed into his chest feeling how he kissed my forehead multiple times.

"It's okay, it's gonna be okay...shhh"

When I stopped crying I just hugged him and kissed his cheek. I kinda felt better after letting all out.

"So you are okay now, huh?" he chuckled locking our hands.

"Yes, I am a lot better," I said taking a sit on the ground.

"Good. I hate when you are mad" he followed my step and after we both were lying on the ground looking at the clouds.

"Eve" he called me.

"Hm?" 

"What's happening between you and me?" he asked looking in the sky.

"What?" I knew what he meant but still asked him.

"Our relationship with each other...We are acting not like friends but also not lovers...who we are?" he finally looked at me.

"I..." I wanted to say something but couldn't. I wanted to say that I don't feel that he is the one and I don't know if I love his brother or him...I didn't have the courage to say this and instead, I said, "We are very close friends...sort of soulmates I guess...I need time, and I think you too" I hinted to him that I am talking about Riley and him. He really needs to figure this out with Riley.

He nodded taking away his eyes from me, "you are right...as always" we both chuckled and continued to lay there until we decided to teleport back.

Zachary teleported me to my table where was no Dominic...he left. I looked at Maeve who was laughing with Theo and Eric.

"Hey, do you know where is Dominic?" I asked them.

"Oh! You are back! I thought you are gonna stuck between those two" Maeve smirked making me roll my eyes.

Did Eric look at me sincerely...worried? I smiled at him and he gave me the same small smile and then I went in search of Dominic. We need to figure things out as well.

I searched everywhere but didn't find him and then it was time to go to my training.

When I came into the training area there was Theo and some other students, everyone was holding their weapons and gladly my weapon was always on my wrist.

I got used to it and it was much easier to control it with my eyes open.

Then came our coach - Mr. Collins saying, "You all! Find a partner to fight with! Go! Fast!" he used his whistler and we all run in different directions. I didn't know who should I fight with everyone already found each other a partner and I was standing there awkward...

I have left all alone and then a person came from behind and asked, "I see you don't have a partner?" it was Alexander. I uncontrollably smiled and laughed.

"I thought we will meet in your room?" I asked.

"Yeah, but I couldn't wait anymore" he smiled and took a sword with some writing on the end.

"Beautiful sword," I said standing in a fighting pose.

"I can tell the same about your whip" We gave each other one last smile and began fighting.

I really began fighting better since my first training. I had great dexterous movements and the whip was perfect for my hand. The whip was very thin and loose, and it was very easy to react instantly to the attack.

Alexander wanted to attack my chest or other time he teased me by touching my butt from the side as he did right now.

"Hey! Stop it!" I laughed while he smirked doing it again.

"make me stop," he said and wanted to rip my shirt off with his sword but I caught his sword with my whip and pulled to me, catching it.

"What the--" Alexander didn't expect me to do this and literally feel on the grass.

While laughing I saw how Alexander was looking in shock at the sword in my hand. I looked at it and saw that the writing on it was glowing with white light. I felt something went through my body and then let out the sword from my hand and looked at my hand in fear and misunderstanding.

"What? Eveline?" Alexander looked at me and then at the sword in confusion.

I stuttered "Wh-what was that?" I gulped and felt how everybody was staring at me. I looked around and ran away into the Academy leaving everyone behind.
