Chapter 4

The whole situation started to scare me. It felt like Alexander was taking a huge gamble with all of the wolves in this pack. I wanted so much to tell him that he should rather hand me over to them and then we can go our ways and then the entire pack would be safe and out of harm's way. The rogue laughed at Alexander's reaction, and I could see that he enjoyed tormenting him and teasing him. "Well ... Alpha Alexander, that could easily be arranged," the rogue said, staring right into Alexander's eyes. I saw two of the other rogues move closer to the head rogue's side, as if they were waiting for any orders to come from him. "This is your last warning! Get the f**k off of my packlands, you will not be getting my pack or taking my mate away from me. Leave while your heart is still in a beating condition!" Alexander said. I knew that this was his last and final warning before we would be entering into a blood bath. The rogue just signed and shook his head. "You know ... I was so close to finally getting your mate, you know ... I had all of this planned for years. Her brothers tormented her, her first mate rejected her, and the whole pack didn't even want to have her there. I have to admit, I was bargaining on her running away from the pack. Now, you were the one to ruin all of that for me. You just had to be there, you just had to take her away and out of that environment. I even had so much worse planned for her when she was still at her old pack" the rogue said, never taking his eyes off of me. The anger radiated off Alexander so badly that I started feeling nauseated. I knew that the rogue was making sure that he was hitting each and every single nerve inside of Alexander when he talked about all the plans that he had for me if I was still going to stay in my old pack. "Seeing as you are refusing to do what is asked, I am officially declaring war on your pack. Oh, and P.S. ... Lana, your brother ... Cole ... he is currently visiting, I guess I would also have to kill him today as well. I guess you would better want to stay away from there, if you don't like the whole blood, guts and gore situation" the rogue said with a smile before he turned away, having the rest of his clan following him. No, Cole! I looked up at Alexander with pleading eyes, needing him to get the message that I couldn't allow Cole to get hurt, not after I had just managed to get one of my brothers back again. Alexander grabbed my arm and yanked me with him as we started running. "I already warned Dermont about the attack. He said some of the patrols already reported that there were rogues in the vicinity!" Alexander shouted as he almost threw open the SUV door and shoved me inside. He desperately tried to buckle my seatbelt but I felt like we were loosing too much time. I slapped his hands, trying to get him to stop. Alexander finally got the message and left it to me before he ran over to the driver's side door and the engine roared to life. Alexander swerved through the roads until the packhouse finally came into view. We eventually stopped in front of the doors and Alexander turned to me. "Get inside the packhouse, go down to the safe room, I will have Dermont waiting there for you. Stay in there, do not make a noise, do not come out until I get there, you got me?" Alexander said in his Alpha voice. He never once used this voice on me.
