Jac's P.O.V.
We woke up when the sun rays hit our skin. We slept outside because we were used to it and liked it. We were both a little claustrophobic. We aren't really afraid of being in small spaces but we would rather not. Outside is a huge space, so nothing feels as good as sleeping outside. We woke up and went to the small lake just outside the territory. When we returned most people were still asleep. We ate breakfast with the people who had to work again. Some people lived amongst humans now that they don't have to stay in the pack house anymore. I was happy to hear that they have great jobs and work with other wolves who have an alpha but accept them not having one. They were all so happy to tell us their story. All I could say about that is that their happiness is my happiness. Their sadness is my sadness. It was my job to keep them happy, or I would also suffer the constituencies. We told them goodbye because we would be gone once they came back. More and more people woke up. Kids went to school and people started their jobs. They worked in and on the pack house or a job in a nearby city. Sam was talking to a group of kids. "So you guys go to school?" She asked and they nodded. "Are you happy to go to school?" She asked and the responses were both positive and negative. "Is school fun?" She asked and everyone shook their head. "You should be glad to go to school. If we would ever become human and want a job, we can't because we never had school." Sam said. "That won't be that bad." A little boy said. "Yes, it is bad. We didn't go to school. People who don't get a job don't get money and don't get food. But also. in packs you will have to do chores. Did school teach you about child labour?" She asked and some said yes and some said no. "Child labour means that kids work really hard jobs. These can also be really dangerous. You should be happy with the place you are born in. We had to clean the alpha's and other high ranked wolves's balconies with our toothbrush. If we didn't work hard or fast enough, we were locked outside or they would throw ice cold and dirty water over our heads. We had to paint the house without safety precautions. I remember a friend of us falling down and not surviving. I am not trying to scare you, but I will tell you that school is way better than that option." She said and the kids nodded. We told the kids and their parents goodbye. We talked to many people and told them all goodbye. It was afternoon and the elder came towards us. "Good luck and have a good trip." She said kissing our foreheads. She walked us to the border of the territory with some other old friends. We left, looked back and ran harder. The mountains are somewhere to the north and it will get cold. We ran again. We ran one and a half day, then slept and ran one and a half day again. I enjoy running in the dark just as much as Sam does. She enjoys the night because it is the same colour as her fur. She enjoys the night because it shows the moon and the stars. She enjoys the night because we can sometimes see other planets. We enjoy the nights with the same reasons and we enjoy the nights for many reasons. We realised it was getting colder because after a while, we found a frozen lake. We used our claws to break the ice and lick as much water off it as possible to stay hydrated. We found way more white animals which tells us snow isn't far away. Not long after that we found an open space and saw the three mountains in the distance. "Fuck." I said. "They're big." "Yeah, but we can make it, I guess. As long as we don't eat yellow snow we should be fine." Sam said. We headed towards the mountain and snow was slowly surrounding us. It will take a while until we become white wolves because the snow constantly melts. The trees were making weird noises from the snow's weight and branches could break any moment and fall on top of us. We decided to take a break and sleep while we were still a bit on the lower part of the mountain. We laid down and watched the three mountain tops from an open space. The sky was dark with more than a million stars. After some time we decided to sleep but I couldn't take my eyes off the mountains. "Wake me if anything at all happens." Sam said yawning and falling asleep. I nodded and looked at the mountains. My eyes were watching all of it and I saw all of it. After a while I felt a strange form of energy above me. "Sam." I said bumping my head in her neck. She was already awake because of the strange energy and looked at where it could come from. Then it appeared. The northern lights moving around the mountain tops like they were part of it. The northern light was green and a bit blue at first but soon turned orange, yellow, pink, purple, red and all possible colours imaginable. We looked at it and forgot the time. We watched until apparently the sun was starting to rise. We fell asleep as soon as possible but did realise it was stupid to sleep at daytime. We were both on high alert for any noise, scent or just a gut feeling.
Sam's P.O.V
A black wolf running on nothing with all the possible colours imaginable surrounding it. It's tongue was sticking out and it was running as fast as it could. An orange and yellow eagle appeared out of the colours and flew right over its head, disappearing in the colours again. Blue and green dolphins were swimming and jumping next to the wolf and a huge whale jumped up and came down hard. Blue light jumped up, out of nowhere, and sprinkled everywhere. A bear smashed it's front paws next to the wolf. It was all rather beautiful than scary. Horses in all colours jumped over the wolf, using a tree trunk to jump from. Small wolves were trying to catch up happy like in a game of catch. Then suddenly everything went black. No light or colour anywhere. Then an incredibility stingy pain all over my body. I realised I woke up from the dream and tried to find out what my surroundings were without opening my eyes. I listened and snow was cracking all around me. Multiple people, for sure. I slightly sniffed and caught a strange scent. Humans. Probably hunters. "Jac? Jac, you awake?" I asked trying to ignore the pain, which was probably from a bullet. "Yes. Does your body hurts like hell too, or is it just me?" He asked. "Humans surrounding us can't be good. They're probably hunters and I don't know if they have ever had a catch this big." I said. "Wake up on three?" Jac asked. I agreed. "One, two, THREE!" We opened our eyes and jumped up.
